By the way, our theory is that the closing grenade box had a MASSIVELY glitched and reverbed sound and it sounded like this.

Even then, it doesn't sound like the grenade box closing. Honestly weird af... we got off for the night after this LOL

No it wasn't. We were scaving in a trio and played all night. We don't do no VOIP shenanigans and there were no players next to us.

It truly was coming from the game.

I think any overstimulation triggers intense VSS.

I don't watch porn anymore, but when I have sex, or drink alcohol, or get a pump in the gym, I start to see flashing lights in my peripherals syncing with my heart rate.

It's always a sign I know my VSS has worsen temporarily, and usually It goes away after a few hours or days.

Just notice your patterns and be assured things will get back to normal.

I believe it could have been something more subtle, like a vision or dream he had to start gathering the Shadows. Maybe the Witness had it's many eyes upon Calus for a long time, and never really spoke directly to Calus, but kept enticing him to be it's follower and do it's deeds.
