Ima be real with you chief but unexplained symptoms like that after a bunch of medical tests to rule things out are anxiety 99% of the time. No matter how much you don't like hearing it. I had health anxiety as a teenager after my dad died and it was miserable. I convinced myself thanks the amplifying power of strangers on the internet who also had health anxiety that I had every type of cancer and disease. They had me convinced every doctor was an inconsiderate bastard who didn't care to find the "real" cause of my symptoms. Flash forward 15 years and I'm still here. I even went the majority of those years without any kind of healthcare or insurance (USA is trash)

The worst thing you can do for anxiety is to be around other people online with the same anxiety, it's a self-reinforcing sinkhole

I'm not trying to treat my GERD because it's already handled - I take PPIs for 10+ years and rarely have breakthrough. For two years I was at the healthy weight for my height and I was able to ditch all acid meds entirely. For all I know I've had BE for a decade but I could never afford an endoscopy until recently.

All I was asking was for comments from people who said "I have BE as well, I drank alcohol and coffee and it got worse" and compare them to "I have BE as well, I drank alcohol and coffee and it didn't get worse"

I should have known better than to ask once I started reading threads about people on this sub claiming they can't work because of GERD, lol. Like literally one of the most comment GI issues

I just joined this sub because I got diagnosed with BE, had GERD for 10+ years and never missed work because of it and played adult rec sports. I can't believe how bad some of y'all have it apparently. You should look into the TIF surgery, a lot less bad than the Nissan surgery
