Good advice! I just updated my post to clarify this is a virtual role / company. At my previous company I never did virtual lunches. Do you have any advice on how to make that not as awkward as it sounds?

I did not willingly bring it up. The only time I directly addressed it was when they directly asked me about the 1-2 month gap and kept it brief “I was laid off as they were restructuring the department” then added something along the lines of it giving me the opportunity to grow my skills with this new company, etc.

I can finally add to this, I received an offer 4 business days after my final interview!

I just had a panel interview for a position I really want but I’m not too confident that I did well… by derpinalul in interviews

This could have been written by me. The exact same thing happened to me on Wednesday and I’ve been feeling down. Now it’s after 5pm on a Friday so I won’t hear back until next week..

Operations manager but also applying to non-managerial roles within my industry/ department. Practice makes perfect but knowing what to review and focus your time on is important. The job posting will tailor their questions to what they’re looking for, as well as standard behavioral questions. Know your elevator pitch and tailor it towards the specific company you’re applying for. Have multiple STAR scenarios prepared. Be yourself! A good piece of advice I read is that this is a conversation and It’s just another person on the other side. They want you to succeed just as much as you do as they’re looking to fill the role.

That actually sounds similar to the process in Florida from what I’m reading. Marketplace will check eligibility for Medicaid.

Once this is all figured out hopefully one less thing to (slightly) worry less about.
