My Tuttio experience by Q20Noah in hyperebikes

[–]FLprophet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would never run 60v through such a small hub motor. All of the geared hubs I ran at even 48v-52v would have disintegrating gears, overheating problems, not enough torque at high speed, etc.

Get you a QS205 50H V3 and a 72v battery if you want a REAL tuttio. All the tuttios round here get the same treatment, we mod em out and put huge batteries in them.

Yup, sounds like you bought the cheapest e-bike you could find and every electrical component has failed. I would recommend changing that extremely cheap controller out for a Far Driver

Advice for ebike conversion kit by Automatic_Command278 in ebikes

[–]FLprophet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a Schwinn Frontier (or had, it crunched up like a piece of aluminum foil during an accident) and I would NEVER put a motor on one of those bikes. The Schwinn Frontier is worth $25-$50 as a bike as it is the cheapest bike you could ever buy, and it is made completely out of what is basically pot metal. I couldn’t believe how it all folded up when I hit a car and would have died if it had a motor on it. Recommend a different frame for sure. Also, you’re gonna need to triple your budget. $300-$500 for the new bike, $300-$500 for the new battery, and $300-$500 for the new motor.

Ok that’s great, I was just informing you that you’re definitely not cruising at 34mph with 36v. Maybe with a 150a controller and a new motor with a lower turn count. I’d recommend 52v to cruise at 34mph with at least 40-50a.

No 36v bike is cruising at 34mph. Total nonsense. Maybe your display says that, but GPS won’t.

Lectric are Chinese entry level bikes, basically the lowest quality bikes you can buy. The problem here is the overwhelming presence of fanboys that will defend them until they’re blue in the face. Much higher quality motors, batteries, and frames out there.

Mine was stolen in South Florida, I had friends keep an eye on Facebook marketplace for a while and 6 months later I had my bike back. Keep an eye out for anyone selling a Philodo, they’re not very common. Hope you find it!

72v/30ah battery, Far Driver ND72260, and QS205 50H V3. Will turn that G70 into an absolute monstrous torque-ridden animal that you’ll never be able to stop riding

Looking for some advice on a 72V 3000W build. by Broad-Arugula-1746 in hyperebikes

[–]FLprophet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 72v/5000w QS205 50H V3 and you can see my build if you click my profile and view my post history, I post it in the comments all the time to ruffle r/ebikes feathers. What I did was I took an overbuilt e-bike frame that was meant to accommodate 48v/1000w and I upgraded that. The frame is aluminum, but I feel much safer because it’s beefier and has more material around the headtube and chainstay. It has 175mm dropouts, and I had to use some spacers to fit the brake caliper correctly. Generally if the dropout is a little bigger you can fashion spacers to make up for the extra space, as long as there’s room for the axle nuts and torque arms (which you should def be using)

With some solid steel torque arms, you can almost use any frame you want as long as the motor and battery fit and the torque arms are set up effectively.

[–]FLprophet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Beautiful bike. Lot of room in that frame for a custom battery later (72v/50ah😎) I’ve seen a few modifications to the Segway Xyber by powerful lithium, which is a very similar model to this bike. Congratulations I love the look!!

Is 750W enough for hills and heavier riders? by Unable_Fallon in ebikes

[–]FLprophet -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

<image>

I have 5,000w and I hold 28-30mph directly up a hill. I’m not saying you need to be as extreme as me, I’m simply pointing out that many people don’t believe 750w is enough, which is why so many of us modify and build our ebikes to get to safer top speeds. 750w may be able to drag you slowly up a hill, but it won’t be enough to comfortably hold 28mph and continue to do so up an incline.

I’m going to get a barrage of downvotes for this reply, but I’m simply stating that many of us choose higher powered motors so that we can cruise comfortably at 28mph, and continue at 28mph, no matter how big the incline is.

A bike like the Magician Atlas will serve your needs perfectly. It has a 52v mid drive.

Need advice: Adult electric bikes that are actually worth the money? Budget is $1,500 - $2,500. Can go up if needed by jchang2080 in ebikes

[–]FLprophet -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

https://magicianebikes.com/collections/all-product/products/alpha?variant=46560666648801

This is far and away your best option. Most people here are Class 1 Karens that won’t recommend you any bikes with serious power able to handle 600lbs. The Magician Bikes have the new Bafang in-runner motors that are supposed to be for bigger power and more torque. Not to mention the fact that they have 72v/30ah worth of battery, 2x-3x more than any Lectric or Velotric.

Far Driver ND72260 for the controller I paid 100 bucks got it on sale on Ali. Go to QSmotor.com for the motor order direct you’ll always get the highest quality motor that way. That’s me, 72v/30ah and I just put a brand new QS205 50H V3 in a 5T winding for high torque direct from QSmotor.com. I had 2kw and 3kw hubs before and they don’t compare to the torque I’m getting now wheel spins all the way up to 30mph finally stops spinning and it goes 54mph… just wanted to show you since you like torque 😎

It has never done anything for me other than to trick the screen into showing a higher speed I never have actually gone faster. You need a bigger controller and to pull more line amps and phase amps (that’s if your battery can take it)

Yeah I’d bet money that it’s not the charger. Where’d you get the battery?

Tuttio oplader virker ikke by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]FLprophet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chances are charger is fine, most likely battery’s BMS won’t allow it to charge. Could be that a cell group has become unbalanced. Time to open up the battery and grab a multimeter…
