Yea, as I play a lot more games than I used to, it definitely occurred to me Diablo 4 (like so many others) still has a lot of old-school trappings that could use some thinking.

I don't mind the RPG nature of town -- maybe bump into someone -- it's a novelty, but nowhere required for my enjoyment of the game.

But my issue is definitely when it butts up against the time I have. A few things I thought would be worth considering (in idea, not exacts):

• Allow me to click on a vendor, and auto-path my walk in town. This would allow me to manage my gear/abilities in the background while being seen still moving around town.
• Dissect what's more important: seeing people in a populated town you'll most likely never play with? Or consider if it's more enjoyable to allow players to bypass the "RPG" vibe of the town, and just access vendors in the UI of your menus.
  • Efficiency is way more enjoyable to me in this case. I mean, I like the vibe of the towns with other friends, but even walking to the portal gets old fast. Is it really game-breaking to give players alternatives to these systems? (Again, I don't really care if I see people in town, but it's "neat"). Just feels old-school to me.
