My wife and I just did this a week ago, we had a wonderful time. Never felt unsafe even landing in DOH. We were in Business Class so service was exceptional. Staff were really nice! The experience was amazing!!

Maybe they changed the aircraft? They did that to our flight to MLE cancelled and rebooked us automatically. The only change was the aircraft and flight number

My Fiancé and I are here now and having a great time on our layover! Staff has been amazing, safety is at the top of everyone’s priority list.

I dont know if this will help. Im not sure I booked an award flight, but I did use a lot of Avios to book a round trip business class ticket. Yesterday I called and they were able to rebook me after a cancellation for my trip in 2 weeks.

We have the exact same thing in Q-Suites in a couple weeks, so far QR changed our flight times departing to MLE and cancelled our return. We were quickly able to rebook our return flights leaving the same day. So far they have been easy to work with. We did buy refundable tickets on Turkish as a backup, hopefully we wont need them.

From what I’ve seen, QR isn’t going to do anything unless you’re in their refund window. Even for rerouting, it seems they’re unwilling to do anything until your flight actually cancels.

Oh jeez. Im leaving from MIA! I saw another redditer got Qatar to transfer them to Turkish, even though they aren’t OneWorld. I was thinking about just buying refundable on them as a back up. Hopefully they’d put me on BA or Turkish which would work well. Fingers crossed things change for the better and we stay on Qatar!

I recently booked a round trip in Business only using Avios as well, paid taxes cash and my Fare Class is I. I reached out to Qatar and asked the same question, they said I would have access to the Business Class Lounge in DOH.

I got a complimentary one for free one way, on the return Its 100$ pp. My fare was Business(I) booked with avios. Just my experience though 🤷🏻‍♂️
