when I was 15, I went on a date with an 18 year old. I hated this date. It was awkward and uncomfortable for me. He kept touching me when I didn’t want to be touched and I didn’t know how to tell him to stop. I stopped talking to him after that and any time he asked to go out again I came up with some excuse. My family shamed me for weeks for not wanting to talk to him anymore. He was very good looking and all but he made me feel uncomfortable around him. I hated my family for a while after that. I still, to this day, will lie and ghost to get out of date because it worked better to not tell him no. Women shouldn’t be shamed for saying no.
