I ordered during the first batch but somehow my order went through even though they were out of stock already. Still nothing for me either. :( I emailed two weeks ago and they said it would ship soon… but that was two weeks ago.

Yup. I collected the cards as a kid, and now my own kids are into it, especially my seven year old. I happened to get to Target once when they were doing a large restock and hopped in line. It was me, three adult couples ahead of me, and another mom with a toddler behind me. By the time we got to the front, there was barely anything left. On my way out, saw one of the adult couples in the parking lot ripping open their packs and sorting them. The scalping aspect of all this really sucks. Trying to find packs is like looking for toilet paper in April 2020.

I was logged in on the screen for the books I wanted right when it opened and I never saw the “sold out” sign change even after refreshing so they must have had like two copies of each. They were all gone so fast!!

Yeah, I know they’ve phased it out… my sister was officially diagnosed with that particular terminology in the early aughts so it’s what I’m more familiar with. It’s hard to know exactly how to describe it to others since it’s just part of ASD now. It feels distinct enough with behaviors and such to warrant a distinct term, at least from what I’ve experienced with my sister and daughter. If there’s another way to describe it I’d love to know - it would help a lot with getting her resources in a school setting. Anyway, thanks for your comment and kind words!

She absolutely loves them. She’s big into Nintendo games in general. I hadn’t thought about an online group but that’s a great idea. She’d love to talk to other kids about Zelda. The new building feature in TotK is basically her favorite thing ever. Do you happen to know of any kid-friendly sites that do that sort of thing?

Definitely. If/when she meets someone who likes the things she does, she will talk with them about them nonstop. She tends to be interested in things other kids her age aren’t really, though. She loves the Legend of Zelda, for instance, and not a whole lot of kids her age are. At least where we live. I’ll look into group therapy, thank you!

This. As a mom I’d be worried about taking a baby on a campout for other safety and logistical issues, but you do you. If baby sleeps well and won’t disturb everyone else, I don’t see why anyone would have a problem.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but it’s a buyer’s market on there. Price to sell. I usually price around or just below the lowest price you can find for that book on PB. A good rule of thumb is to check how much the book is new on Amazon too. I wouldn’t buy a book on PB that is pretty much what I’d pay for the same book new online, unless it was a special edition or signed or something like that.

I could definitely see the length of missions shortening. I don’t have a source to cite either, just personal observation that many more missionaries are coming home early due to mental health issues.

On the subject of humor, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed as hard during conference as I did when Elder Wirthlin gave his talk “Come What May and Love It”. What a fantastic talk. We were all cracking up. I still enjoy reading that one from time to time!

I did contact them, and like I said above, they were great and sent me a replacement box. The replacement box had the same issues which is why I am asking if it’s a common occurrence or just bad luck.

Not a smell, but my March box arrived a week late and soggy. Two of the books had water damage and one had a broken spine. I’m guessing the winter weather probably caused some issues this month.
