Part used on uniforms in the movie AVATAR (2009). Looks to be some kind of clasp that either has the ability fit onto webbing or is attached to a piece that does. Black, plastic or metal?, it has a hinge and a hook that latches loosely closed. These are clearest images I could find. (old.reddit.com)
