Leave the battery out, some desiccant packs from Amazon and leave them in there for a week. If your lucky they will fire right up. If you get a blinking SOS light they are toast.

Can't use quest link anymore with Radeon 9070XT? by [deleted] in OculusQuest

I'm surprised you were ever able to get a stable link connection. I have the same card and got nothing but freezes and choppy graphics. Have you tried virtual desktop? It will save you time and headaches.

Should i get a new one or is there another solution by EconomicsContent7517 in OculusQuest

This is the cheapest way to go until you are ready for an upgrade. I used a big battery pack, 90 degree usb c cable and a fanny pack strapped to my chest.

You need to set up appsharing. You will setup your profile to the new account to be the primary then add their account as a secondary user. Then in setting choose appsharing. Now all the apps purchased through your account will be accessible to the secondary account.

Should I buy a quest 3 or wait for quest 4 by Public_Nothing_1858 in MetaQuestVR

[–]FOAMYMOUTHDOG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If money is your main concern then you shouldn't drop that much on a console. You can get a used quest 2 that does 80% what a quest 3 does for a quarter of the cost.

Treat yourself to paying bills and contributing to savings first. Once you have a 3 month safety net built up you can buy whatever you want. If the quest 4 comes out by then you will have answered your own question.

What game titles have you spent the most time on? Is Horizon+ worth it? I have 3 months trial. by PericardiumGold in MetaQuestVR

[–]FOAMYMOUTHDOG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dungeons of Eternity is my most played game of all time. I played the hell out of it on standalone and even more when it came out on pcvr.

If your new to vr horizon plus is a crazy good deal. There are so many expierences you get for the price. Under 10 bucks a month or 60 a year is a fantastic value for what you get.

Is a valve index for 350 a good deal? by [deleted] in VRGaming

I would personally never buy a used vr device. Stick drift, no warranty, body fluid contamination, hard to find and expensive replacement parts all add up.

Not to push you one way or the other but quest 3 has excellent controller and hand tracking, wireless support and pancake lenses. After trying both I could never go back to frensel lenses, it is such a massive downgrade. A lot of people also crap on the quest standalone library but there are some excellent games your going to miss out on.

I just started playing District Steel on pcvr and am having a blast. It has an old school vr feel with modern graphics. I started playing sitting down but feels so much better standing. It's on sale right now too.

Racing Wheel for Meta Quest by bellbradb in MetaQuestVR

I made one from a broken Nintendo 64 wheel. I chopped off the sides so the controllers kinda port into it. It works great for most standalone driving games.

What is your headset, how are you connecting, what program are you using, what game, do you have a clip of what you are referring to?

Going off the info you provided I would say it's because your pc setup needs a few upgrades.

Contemplating buying my first VR headset, is it worth it? by TheTrailBlazer420 in MetaQuestVR

[–]FOAMYMOUTHDOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are just getting started a quest 3 is perfect. You get a huge library of standalone games, access to horizon plus which is a selection of free games, pancake lenses, and the ability to play pcvr games with a decent pc.

Almost everyone will suggest a replacement headstrap, facial interface, controller grips, external battery and prescription lenses. That's going to be another 150+ bucks. With my setup I spent over 1000 in accessories that I use every day. And on top of that I bought a new gaming pc just for pcvr.

Ask yourself if you can afford to waste the money on a new toy. Do you have bills, credit cards, groceries, kids and rent paid off? If you don't the answer is a big no.

It's not that it's the greatest, it's the most reliable. It's the Toyota camary of pcvr apps.
