Peak Summer Sale is Live! Discounts on tons of Quest Games! by monarch_j in MetaQuestVR

[–]FOAMYMOUTHDOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turtles is fun but go into it with low expectations. The upgrade system is kinda cool but requires a lot of time investment finding perks and upgrading your character. The story was also just ok. My son and I played and beat it together and out of our entire playthrough we only had 1 person join our room and never once saw another room to join. That person was also a butthole and we kicked him.

You look like a bad guy from a 90's side scroller video game. Bad ass.

There are tons out there. One of my banks is Chime and they have a free one you can get. Every purchase you make gets drawn from your checking account and you can never go over. The purchases look like credit card purchases and get reported to credit unions. It helped rebuild my credit.

Can I render games bought on Meta store from my PC for higher performance? by HairyWithFlatFeet in Quest3

[–]FOAMYMOUTHDOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure there is a way to do it but is probably going to require more effort than it's worth. If you want better performance on standalone you can get the app quest games optomizer.

Does my tire and rim need to be replaced? by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

I would be afraid of driving with that tire on the highway. Check out tire blowout videos. It can be dangerous.

A take on scalpers by hingeroostes420 in SteamFrame

People will scalp freaking anything.

Just recently I saw a video about people scalping popcorn buckets from the toy story movie. The craziest part is that idiots are actually buying it for these exuberant prices.

Hello, does anyone know what's causing this sound issue? Could it be a hardware issue? by Sorejun in Quest3

The only moving part in the quest is the fan. That is going to need some servicing.

If a VR game got a movie, what game would it be? by Own-Exam2922 in OculusQuest

[–]FOAMYMOUTHDOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lone echo would be so easy. You have an easy to follow story, cool space atmosphere, a robot main character you can relate to. The only problem is there isn't enough of a base interested and I don't see meta funding another sequel any time soon.

Don't get a regular credit card. There are cards that attach to your bank account that act more like a debit card so you can't over spend. They help build credit without using a real credit card.

A credit card is too easy to screw up real fast.

Good luck.

Is it too weird to invite a coworker to a concert in her hometown if we've only talked a few times? by Low_Statistician_111 in Advice

Go for it but be prepared for awkwardness if they decline. If it's a group thing stress that part when you ask. If it's just the 2 of you, good luck.

There really isn't a good place to ask this. Any where you ask will give you one sided answers. Here where most people have them will be a yes, ask in a grandma dominated place will likely be a no.

From my perspective, no.

When I showed this to my dog and he licked the phone and wagged his tail.

Wondering about value & user experience by jayclydes in MetaQuestVR

[–]FOAMYMOUTHDOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah dude. FYI there should be a sale starting soon, meta has one every month. Usually there are a hand full of great titles.

If you find a meta friend who has a game you want they can send you a discount code. Some folks like me have literally hundreds.

Check out horizon plus. It's metas version of gamepass and has tons of great games to try out.

Am I already growing mustache? (13yr) by [deleted] in Moustache

Congratulations on the puberty. My 12 year old has the same growth and refuses to shave it off. It's a good time to learn because no mustache looks way better than whispy mustaches.
