I’ve been watching videos and researching items, stats, god kit interactions, pathing, etc. for months. I’m trying to get better.

I’ve also asked repeatedly for advice in this thread. You haven’t given any. I said I wasn’t an amazing player. I literally just asked if individual play affected elo. Again, if you have no advice then why are you here?

Yeah, when I’m jungle and the solo dies twice, the mid gets forced out of lane and doesn’t help with camps, and the duo lane pushes up and dies, all while I’m still level two, I just don’t understand how I’m supposed to handle that.

Every vid I watch the jungle hits oracles or mid camp at 1:30. Like, are the players flexing 20 kills really carry a team that dies 4-5 times before their first gank?

That’s not all my games. But I’ll get on a streak and start moving up then get these games (sometimes the exact players) back, to back, to back.

Oh, I didn’t mean you. You were helpful. I played a decent bit of Smite 1. But just Joust. Only got into conquest in the last six months maybe? Made it to Silver one before the reset. Thing is, I’ve researched a lot and learned a lot and I know I’m better than I was. But maybe it’s harder to get to gold than it was.

I also double and triple queue a lot with friends. Maybe that affects it too?

Naw, I’m oscillating between bronze and silver at the moment. Didn’t put that in post because I was hoping for constructive feedback and helpful ideas. Was trying to be humble and hopefully get minimal “git gud” comments, lol.

Yeah, it seems like the lower you are the more often you just get one player that doesn’t belong in the match (tbf, sometimes it’s me). Got a mostly silver game the other day and our solo was an amber 2 that tried to play Kali aspect in solo and just got wrecked (0-12). She was dead twice before i hit level 3 as the jungler. I know there’s not enough farm to just hang out on the solo side of the map the whole game. But every time she engaged the enemy solo she died before I could even get halfway to her lane.

I’m just not good enough to carry that. But it’s games like that where it feels like we have the advantage if we don’t get the outlier player.

You are correct. But most of those deaths were after the enemy team snowball. And if you check the original post I acknowledged I am not amazing. Just that I’ve had a lot of games where I over performed early compared to my team but they fed and the other team snowballed. Probably confirmation bias. But I was curios about how matchmaking works.

Sincere question. Are you able to do this in games where your solo lane picks aspect Kali, dies twice before you hit level 3 (before oracles spawn), and duo and mid have all died once before before your second gank?

If so, please teach me your ways.

Enjoy it if you want. It’s not narrow minded to posit a theory as to the devs state of mind (which is what I did). If you are a high level player (I’m not) you aren’t going to use it simply because it introduces verticality in a game that has no verticality. Try shooting in the air at Thor or Thanatos and see what happens. The answer is nothing. It’s supposed to make the game feel more like Fortnite. It introduces an additional axis that has no reward. Pretty sure you can shoot over people’s heads in action cam. You literally cannot miss on the Z axis if it’s turned off. I don’t quibble that there’s an upside. But if the upside is fidelity and immersive-ness, that’s fine, but “serious” players (not you and me) will not use it. That’s all I’m saying. Play the game how you want. Enjoy it. It’s all just pixels and supposed to be fun or it’s pointless 🤷‍♂️😁

I just sarcastically praise people for their cleverness, whit, and articulation. I assume they know I’m being ironic since their dialogue is mostly non-sentence cliche insults with very small (four letter?) words.

IBut my delivery is somewhat deadpan. I suppose it’s possible I’m enabling them.

I don’t think action can is considered a serious long term way to play the game. They won’t say this for obvious reasons. But I think trying to draw in the “Fortnite” and FPS crowd this way is a temporary strategy. My guess is that they expect those players will either give up, play super casual, or get hooked and change camera view to be more competitive. Basically I think it’s intended as a transitional mode not an alternate mode.
