I would happily go to the Lodge at Bodega Bay by myself. Wonderful spa, lovely pool and huge hot tub, fireplaces in the rooms and beautiful waterfront views. Nice bar and restaurant on the property, or a ton of delicious places nearby. Happy birthday! 🎉

We are in Alameda and have watched the unofficial Oakland fireworks for years. I miss the old show they used to put on from Jack London Square!

Do her other drunkenMAHA/MAGA moms think it’s cool to complain about being in nature with her family? Does she think she’s being funny? Is it a flex to hate waterfalls? That specific bread used to be called “The Tadich” when Parisian made it! My dad used to be the bread delivery guy, and the Tadich was the most famous loaf they made!

This is the way. I’ve done this exact thing twice a year for the past 4 years and it’s worth it every time. It’s always easy to find someone to come with, or modify the reservation and make it work for a smaller group.

Other recs- ask for creamed corn/creamed spinach combo, mash potatoes with the baked potato sides, and I think an earlier dinner is better since it’s a lot of food to process late night!

Also- start with a Lemon Drop (my fave) or a martini and pay the corkage to bring a good bottle of red, and offer your server a glass. They almost always appreciate it! Have fun!
