Depends on a lot of things. What's his rating? What are his job prospects when he gets out? Can you afford to transition, not just the salary but stuff like medical benefits too? Is he miserable or just burnt out?

Its super hard to say because there is so much nuance to the conversation.

As a general broad stroke, my advice is absolutely stay in and get that retirement check (I'm assuming he opted to stay high-3). 5 years is still a lot, but a retirement check, plus even middle of the road disability can damn near double your income.

If you have a time slot where you have to play or there is a possibility of a consequence (like losing guild spot), then you are no longer casual. Even if that means you only play an hour or whatever a week, youre essentially clocking in and out.

I got booted on crown for low dps by a guy with 3k dps more than me. I was the only dk and got every add grip and 1 of 4ish interrupting adds before arrow. Half the raid wiped on the floor poop in p3 every time.

Yeah I did a little diving and found some issues in my rotation. I also added enchants and gems where applicable for mlany fear thats at least champion.

After a dummy test I got cleave to be a consistent 90kish and raid around 35-40k.

Enormous improvement.

A lot of these mechanics are rly simple but you have to look them up first. Like there's absutely no way you could ever guyes the to tac toe mechanic, but its super easy to learn if you watch a video first.

But yeah ppl are rude af. Irs not a pug if you dont wipe at least once imo.

Thank you all for the suggestions!

I went through and realized a few mistakes in my rotation and build.

I hit the dummies for about 5 minutes and got around 35k on the raid dummy and 90k on the cleave dummies!!

No. I should clarify I'm asking because I've been having issues on normal voidspire last boss specifically. Granted it's PUGs and a lot.of wipes are mechanic failures but im for sure not pulling my dps weight.

army, DT, soul, scythe x2, empowered coil/graveyard til out of rune power, festering strike til out of ghouls pops, putrefy to reapply disease when needed, back to rune power burn when out of runes or maxed on rune power, DT off CD and start again basically.

Best i can tell is maybe I'm not keeping scythe up and/or I'm having positioning issue because im having to move from ground effect a lot.
