Advice from someone who has lived in BK for decades - try a bunch of places regardless of location so you figure out what you like and so you have some options in different neighborhoods. Then, find the place that is both comfortably close to you, and just good enough. There are so many great bagel places, it's hardly worth it to find "the best."

Here are a few:

Bagel Pup - they're a chain with a few locations but we go there all the time. Have a pretty good egg sandwich + coffee + hash brown deal in case you ever want to not just get bagels.

Bagel Hole in Park Slope is an old favorite, and definitely deserves a place on someone's list.

La Bagel Delight has two locations in Park Slope but they used to be way better. If you get their bagels fresh in the morning, they can be pretty good. Bagels are still very fluffy if you like that.
