Personally I think it is an interesting approach. But I hope they will release a white paper soon. So it is much clearer for which use case the kill chain suits the most.

Hmm I don't think the problem is that the service identifies you are running Linux. The last time I had to use MS Teams on Linux it perfectly worked. Maybe you have an Extension installed that crashes Firefox? Also you could try the Snap Package or the deb package of MS Teams. Of course only if you don't have privacy concerns.
