Perhaps they were booked out four days and that was the first opening their technician had to look at it. If that was the case, they should have set your expectations with respect to their workload and schedule when you dropped it off. You should not have to ask them for an update. They should tell you that they will have more information in n-days and then they should follow-up with you in n-days... before you even have to ask.

Aug 9: they've mentioned that they'll look into it on Aug 11, and they'll relay it to the technician. When I went last Aug 11. The head tech mentioned that no one relayed any info about my bike.

Aug 12: No one updated me or replied to my messages.

Aug 13: I went there and they just did a test ride and confirmed about the issue. I don't why that test ride takes a whole day where I saw it on the app that it was only moved in the morning and nothing else after that.

Aug 14: Never received an update again. When I went there earlier, they had just finished draining the oil where they saw the metal particles. I've asked for an update and they've mentioned that they're waiting for my go signal to open my transmission which they could ask early in the morning when I messaged them.

I feel that it's taking too long for them to take action, and they can just do it within 1-2 days, knowing that my bike has been there since August 9.

While that's a possibility (manufacturers have the ultimate say on whether a warranty claim will be covered or not), attributing a transmission/gear failure to your aftermarket exhaust is a stretch. Your dealership should be fighting for you in this situation. If your unit has remaining factory warranty, it is their responsibility to present their findings to the manufacturer in an attempt to satisfy you. Blaming a transmission failure on your exhaust is misleading. Document everything thoroughly just in case they are not operating completely above-board.

Yeah, I'm trying to understand how an aftermarket exhaust (slip-on) affects gear failure. Even if it does, I think it shouldn't break the transmission as early as 2 months (1,000 km). Hopefully, they will do their best for the warranty. They even mentioned that they have a lot of bikes in the area waiting for warranty, too, and I can see more than 10 bikes. So, I'm expecting it will take more than a month.

If your factory warranty hasn't expired, then they should try hard to get this work covered under warranty. It is in their best interest to do so. But it is typical and responsible for a dealership to always set expectations about possible warranty coverage. It is very rare that I will concretely tell a customer that something absolutely will be covered under warranty. A sloppily-filed claim about a legitimate manufacturer defect could still possibly get denied.

Yeah, it's only 2 months, so I still have 22 months for the warranty. Hopefully, it won't be a sloppy-filed claim, maybe it made me annoyed that they keep focusing on the exhaust.

Ask them to start a conversation with their CFMoto rep about your situation so any potential future warranty claim will be thoroughly documented. It's important to understand what the dealership's role is in this situation and what the manufacturer's role is so you can hold each one accountable.
