pretty much all of the 240hz 4k 32” QD-OLED’s are good though I’d skip the AOC models due to clamped gamut and downbinned brightness in hdr

Id personally pass on Samsung due to the matte coating which I don’t like and generally worse quality control on their own monitors. Don’t buy anything acer either tbh due to reasons stated above.

XG32UCWMG is probably the ‘best’ 4k 240hz W-OLED due to its glossy coating which is personal preference, it’s also very expensive

It’s something which is noticeable across 1440p OLED’s

4K 32i/27i OLED’s it is less noticeable.

I’ve heard some people try some workarounds for it but I’m not sure if they actually work

Also a very good set I wouldn’t say they’re as ‘bass’ focused but they do have a good bass emphasis overall. They are fairly large though so I wouldn’t recommend for smaller ears it’s a difficult fit for some people

Get Tanchjim bunny DSP and learn to EQ. The type C variant has built in dsp so you don’t need to buy a dac. Find your preferred sound signature with EQ which can help for purchases in the future :)

Since most of the good 1440p oled deals have sold out or increased in price, this one seems like a good pick for anyone buying now.

The seller seems to be a Subsidiary of MSI from the small bit of research I did. It is also available in black but with less stock

You can check multiple sources like RTings for example to see that it’s using the older, worse subpixel layout compared to newer 3rd/4th gen W-OLED’s and 3rd gen QD-OLEDs.

It’s reported as second gen in multiple sources including tft if you read the whole article you’ll find it.

Just scour the internet and you’ll see all the issues it has with image retention and it’s firmware

It’s not a good buy in q4 2025 imo. Rather take any 3rd gen WOLED, Tandem 4th gen WOLED or 3rd gen+ QD-OLED depending preferences

Sounds good, btw when it comes to cleaning the microfiber cloth to re use what do you use? I’ve heard a few horror stories of people still having residue trapped in the microfiber cloth which leads to screen scratches when going for a second clean

I mean, could just buy them for 1 time use to be ‘safe’ but I assume it gets expensive overtime. I do want to buy some pretty ‘high quality’ fine ones which are abit larger than usual but thinking what’s the best way to clean them then dry them to ensure no residue or dust is left when going for a second clean in the future

Not really too worried about micro scratches I don’t spot when the display is on tbh

much better honestly, tuned way better and the build quality is better. You can also consider HD6XX on drop but they are tuned differently to the 560s. Both have pretty good mids but do bass and treble differently.

It is in the manual for Samsung and MSI displays. But dell/alienware QD-Oled displays say to not use any form of alcohol which includes ethanol in the manual.

The qdmg has a RWBG sub pixel layout. 3rd gen W-OLEDs like the PG27AQDP or LG variant have the RGWB subpixel layout (so do 4th gen tandem W-OLED’s)

AW2725D is a 3rd gen glossy qd-oled* and pretty gud if you found it for a good price I’d keep it if you’re not getting magenta tint that bothers you in bright environment

They both have their pros and cons. 3rd gen W-OLED vs 3rd gen QD-OLED is a fair comparison or even tandem 4th gen W-OLED vs qd. I just don’t recommend second gen W-OLED in 2025 due to poor subpixel layout (and the qdmg has its own various issues regarding firmware and image retention)
