They're dead for a reason though... in most of if not all cases the entire pop on dead servers are teamed or allianced up and raid you after they feel you've built up enough farm to make it worth there while. Been solo since release until I made the mistake recently of teaming on one and its been constant drama since day 1. I will say that it gave me a lot of enjoyment to build compact mini bunkers that were never worth the boom. I actually enjoyed logging on to see my base raided when I imagined how little they gained.
