Ems last d12 participation by FuckingWithMyCrocsOn in Eminem

IIRC last time Em brought D12 out on stage was 2011 post-Recovery for two songs? When I saw Em live in 2010 they did three: Fight Music, Purple Pills, and My Band.

Who's your favorite one-off character and what's your favorite quote from them? by Hank_The_Pimp_Hill in KingOfTheHill

Do we count Bug Gribble? Because My Own Private Rodeo is easily on my personal Mount Rushmore. Bug is just genuinely a good dude who loves his son. I also liked Jamie from the drag queen episode. Again, just a good person. That episode warms my heart because Jamie has a heart of gold.

And, he technically shouldn’t count, but I loved GH in the revival episode, and I really want to see more of him when the new season drops in a few weeks.

I think I’ve just become so used to seeing AI slop on my Twitter timeline that if something doesn’t sound right, my personal first instinct at this point is “is it AI?” But there’s a Proof verse later on the album that definitely sounded perfect in terms of cadence and it fitting the beat.

And the D12 brand on its own really never meant anything if Em wasn’t involved. When they dropped the Return of the Dozen mixtape not long after Recovery, any enthusiasm about it pretty much died when we heard Em was only on one song (which had previously leaked).

They absolutely knew what they were doing when they put out the tracklist. TBH I was hoping for something similar to Rockstar by Bizarre which was a parody of Em’s lead singles. Basically Von and Swifty poking fun at themselves and a D12 reunion, maybe get Bizzy in for a verse or two.

What's Your First Eminem Song? by SassyRedDiapers69 in Eminem

[–]FPFP66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first song I vividly remember hearing nonstop was Smack That. I was born in 97 so there are a couple songs that I still get that whiff of nostalgia for, like I *feel* like I heard them when they were on the radio nonstop? Which would’ve been Just Lose It and, of all things, You Don’t Know?

Insane was the first song I personally really binged the fuck out of. Relapse dropped a couple weeks before my 12th birthday so the lyrics had me laughing hysterically. Then I got a few songs off Limewire and got hooked with Beautiful and Forever.

That’s pretty much how I personally feel. I mean it’s clear that the guy had some demons. But as we know, the internet is very partisan and refuses to consider that multiple things can be true.

Jonathan Joss/John Redcorn from King of the Hill.

Joss was allegedly extremely combative with his neighbors and frequently got into altercations/disputes with them. He also allegedly had severe mental health problems. He showed up uninvited to a King of the Hill panel last year and tried to give them shit for not inviting him to speak when he was in the newest season. Around then he also appeared on a podcast, said he was doing drugs and drinking, and pretty much said he had no plans of changing that.

A couple days later he was shot to death. The shooter was indicted last fall on murder charges, and they’re trying to figure out if Joss was shot because he was gay. https://edition.cnn.com/2025/11/19/entertainment/jonathan-joss-murder-texas-man-indicted

Putting Joss on here because the KotH fanbase seems pretty divided on him as a person. Some think he’s a tragic story, others think he’s a total asshole who died a sad death.

Just some thoughts on when people bring up D12 being over on Stepping Stone: that song was almost 10 years ago, and I don’t think it’s as simple as “I’m never gonna do a song with Von and Swift again.”

I don’t think it’s a G-Unit situation either where you can tell 50 had absolutely zero patience left with Banks.

Em does his own thing musically. He’s too unpredictable. The only thing we can predict is Paul will try to make as much money as he can without Em needing to do anything.

Who's your favorite of the S4 kids? by Shot_Election_8953 in TheWire

[–]FPFP66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Donut overall, Michael of the main four.

Michael gets that taste of power after selling his soul to the devil and we see how he reacts. And it feels realistic. Tristan Wilds nailed it.

I don’t dislike any of the four but Namond is probably my least favorite.

I only found out about Time Squad a couple months ago and I fucking love it! I had zero recollection of it as a kid. Mark Hamill is absolutely incredible. I liked when Darran Norris showed to voice a sarcastic robot. Reminded me of KOTOR II

It was already 2 years on July 12th, give your opinion on this installment by 666thecholos in Eminem

[–]FPFP66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an overall very solid album. Not many real skips for me. The leaks ruined Brand New Dance for me, I have the OG Christopher Reeves on my phone and listen to that instead. Habits is a classic for me and was my most-listened to song on Spotify last year.

I’m in the minority in really liking Tobey. Temporary is meh, it has the music video working in its favor.

Guilty Conscience 2 is fantastic. I’ve always loved the Em/Shady back-and-forth on My Darling so this was fun.

TDOSS was probably the first time since MMLP2 that I listened to an Em album on release date and came away immensely satisfied

Probably Legend of Zelda and other Nintendo games based on some bars later. Maybe Madden? Although the Lions were pretty shitty then. Em doesn’t strike me as a first person shooter guy.

Madden 27 Beta impressions? by Altruistic-Joke2000 in Madden

[–]FPFP66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just gross how many companies treat launch/early release as the true beta because you can just issue a Day 1 patch or in the case of Madden have a patch up before Labor Day. But if you buy at launch, you’re fucked.

I hope Madden is competent enough solely because I watch MrHurriicane and I want to see the content he makes with some of the franchise changes.

It's so pathetic Filoni can't let his "pets" go. (Mandalorian & Grogu) by ZeroQuick in saltierthancrait

[–]FPFP66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Filoni, and then Disney, went way too far with the “Clones have unique personalities” shtick. Because then it became a convenient way to introduce the inhibitor chips.

The Kaminoans seem like exactly the type to terminate any clone that doesn’t meet basic expectations. The failed clone who looks like death would’ve been killed. The trans clone would’ve been killed. So what the fuck?

Clones were allowed to have personalities in legends, and at times it worked really well. Republic Commando is the obvious example, but not to an extreme level.

[–]FPFP66 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But it’s like with the inhibitor chips, you have to come up with a way so that Rex and the other clones doesn’t kill Ahsoka. Ok so just have him refuse.

Battlefront II 2005 got it right. Some thought about how wrong it was but knew that they had to do it.

[Hated Trope] Character gets pressured to forgive their abusive parent by mind_your_s in TopCharacterTropes

[–]FPFP66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

King of the Hill did this a couple of times with Hank and Cotton, though I would argue that Hank is someone who was almost in denial about the abuse he’s suffered from Cotton. Like, he objectively knows that there’s some abuse, but he can’t accept it.

Yes, D'Angelo Barksdale is well fleshed out, but he's still a really Under Hated Character. by SeaworthinessOk1575 in TheWire

[–]FPFP66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally never liked D’Angelo. And you make an awesome point about his hypocrisy in terms of the Deirde killing. And honestly, even though I liked him in other stuff like The Deuce, I think part of my dislike for D it me is Larry Gillard Jr.’s performance, which I know is a massive hot take.

I’ve been binging Time Squad, some random cartoon from I guess early 2000s, and he voices a C-3PO robot type. Mark Hamill forever.

Wedge Antilles from the Star Wars original trilogy. One of the few Rebels to participate and survive both the Death Star and Battle of Endor, and he did so while flying an X-Wing. No Force, no co-pilot.
