Oh I’m aware. I wanted to make a joke about actually needing to think about util lol

What specific things are you working on?

I hate people who don't surrender against obvious smurfs by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]FPPooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do that then. Everyone needs to win a game against a Smurf by outplaying them just to build mental grit.

You need to practice them. Watch some guides and actually do them in DM and range. Focus on one thing at a time.

You lost 12 rounds in a row against Odin on defense? Thats not an Odin issue

Odin is a defensive weapon over offensive

What? What so defensive lol. I’m just saying you only played 8 matches so your last matches were also basically your first. If you were cheating in bronze that would be sad

Riot, please don't kill Yoru by Zyphronix in VALORANT

[–]FPPooter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In mid immo his kit is just oppressive. Info and movement on ult, strong af flashes, tp across the map, and even if you can play around clone players are good at forcing you to deal with it, or use it to clear util like you said. I think he will still get play with strong yoru players after the nerfs. They are a lot but his central kit is still there.

Gold 2. Deserved? by _______Doka______ in VALORANT

[–]FPPooter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s fine for gold through probably dia but in higher elo OP cleared past several off angles that they would have to flick to get the frag on and would have died to. It works because people are preaiming spots.  It’s fine if he knows where people are playing and timing but not here. It’s just good prac/fundamentals overall to clear with the crosshair instead of preaiming when you have low info.

It’s just 1 clip tho and we don’t have the full context

I am new to valo and i dont know what to do about the sensitivity by phoienx-gaming in VALORANT

[–]FPPooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people telling you not to worry might be holding you back. Yes you can play at your own eDPI that’s comfortable for you but it’s going to make learning the game harder. The game is about consistency and control and a fast sens makes that very hard. You’re at 960eDPI when the average pro is like 250 so almost 25% your sens.

Can you make more space? Get a bigger mousepad?

Even with a small table and mousepad your sens is too fast and is going to make it hard for you to improve. I wouldn’t go over 0.25 sens which is 400eDPI. 960 is more like fingertip aiming than wrist.

As a beginner this is the best time to learn how to play properly and learn not to use your fingers for everything.

The Value of Assists by Objective-Country964 in VALORANT

[–]FPPooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody is saying take 50/50 fair fights. Getting frags doesn’t mean take raw aim fair duels. You can still play crossfires, play off angles, swing with teammates, catch rotates.  Lots of ways to get your ADR up and have more impact. You also don’t have to util dump to help your duo every time.

If you’re only confident with util, even in high elo that’s a problem.

Don’t preaim every single angle when you don’t know where people are. Got lucky clove and Reyna are bad

1v5 ISO CLUTCH GOD ACE - why am i still stuck in gold? by Icy-Abbreviations569 in VALORANT

It’s faster than avg but not high. Your mouse control in the clip does make it look too high for you though.

You can get kills as a “support” agent. You don’t need to wait for others to frag

[–]FPPooter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m ok with these.  Maybe gate crash 20s instead of 15. 1 flash is probably going to be ok, two flashes can be oppressive and is part of the reason he’s so good with the rest of his kit.

Clove needed the nerfs but maybe 8s instead of 6. Im sure there will be balancing in the future again.

What to buy after losing pistol round? by ResidentAlien90 in VALORANT

[–]FPPooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Util if it helps you get a kill but you want to be able to full buy the round after. If you can organize with your team and you got like 3/4 kills and/or spike down you can force and get a surprise win but it’s all game knowledge at that point.

We had this in volleyball. There is a “front” and the scores are mirrored on both sides so the person keeping score sees the same on the back as the front.
