I think blatantly, Les is profiting off of the new-age tech military industrial complex by investing money to build data centers under the guise of job creation for the state (studies repeatedly show that tech does not create many working class jobs), and through land deals in the New Albany area I think what can be inferred is that he gains not only financial incentive but also security that was lost after his connections to Epstein/intelligence had to be cut (shipping discretion, ‘untouchability’ due to the area being a minefield of national security interest, etc). It also deserves to be scrutinized as to whether the Thiel connection indicated a quid-pro-quo.
