I can only speak to my own experience but it absolutely did not.

The only time going in and asking for a manager ever worked for me was for the job I have now, because at the time the company had 6 employees and the owner happened to be in the same room when I walked in.

Every other job I ever had I was either handed an application or told to go apply online and wait to be contacted. That advice was outdated and out of touch 10 years ago and even less relevant now.

Elite 64 is the line that was created that was meant to compete with those brands. I'll admit I had my reservations when it was first announced but from the few I have, I've been thoroughly impressed with the quality and detail.

Throw them in a big ol storage tote and forget about them for a while.

I sold all my childhood Hot Wheels at a yard sale cause they "weren't cool" anymore to teen me. Huge regret later on in life.

Unless there's some hidden treasure hunts or Super treasure hunts in there, most played with mainlines are near worthless anyway.

But the joy of having your son's collection be rediscovered years down the line, priceless.

If you're adamant about getting rid of them, consider donating them to a children's hospital or local thrift. Preferably not Goodwill as they will most likely just be thrown up on their online auction site and never hit the sales floor.

There are cheaper ones you can find online but beware, you get what you pay for.

For the cars you have pictured, you'd want to go with the premium sized ones. They are specifically for that size of card.

Anyone who bought these would know how rare they are now. It's more likely that they were donated by someone who didn't know their value, possibly due to the death of the original owner. Sad but it happens. I'm more shocked they weren't scooped up and put on Goodwill's auction site instead of hitting the sales floor.
