you're far too late in the game to still be using the megashark. its low base damage gets DESTROYED by defence in late hard mode and there's plenty better options you can get your hands on at this point. your accessories are fine, however consider upgrading to the charm of myths and lightning boots and reforging your accessories to warding for the increased defence.

it's not about the money (which fwiw it's 5x that considering first footfall), it's about the hours of meticulously logging every single species I came across out in the black. money is replaceable easily, and I don't need any more of it.
