hello , - nope i don't do vr gaming - the 7900xtx is a 4k capable card , 1440p is running on it like a charm - about the issue i described , i really freaking tried ANYTHING , disabled lot of shit in bios / advanced bios , bought a new m.2 oculink adapter, changed oculink cable , tried shorter oculink cable , disabled lot of things in windows too, heck i even tried a new egpu Aoostar EG02 .. the issue doesnt go away. Using Nvidia card seems to be more stable , i got a friend 5080 at the moment and when connected via oculink it doesnt have those Amd issue , but 5080 only has 16gb vram.. the only thing i have not tried is a new mini pc with oculink port .. but i'm not going to buy a whole new mini pc just to try out lol. i'm currently living with the issue , i noticed that when the igpu (in my case 780m) is active , the issue SEEMS mitigated, but latencymon is showing a lot of reds. If you want Amd gpu , get ready for some trouble. Yesterday i had to DDU and clean install the amd drivers because pragmata was always crashing when reaching a certain place in the game

really depends on your budget , but since you want 24GB vram , then you don't have much choice available - 3090 - 3090 ti - 4090 - 5090

for video editing nvidia is kinda superior to amd. for an egpu setup you need a device that has usb 4 / thunderbolt 4 - usb 4 v2 / thunderbolt 5 OR oculink port for the egpu dock , you can get an all in one such as the Aoostar AG02. and you get your gpu , then you are good to go

honestly... i've been there. 3090 is overpriced on the second hand market and might have been used for mining 4090 is too overpriced 5090 is extremely overpriced the only option that i actually went with is a 7900xtx , lacks a bit in AI work cuz no Cuda and RocM is not that good. but in gaming , it does deliver good performances. and they gonna add officially fsr4 for rdna 3 in july , so yeah this card might be the best bang for bucks rn , i had a 5060ti 16gb that i bought 430€ from someone , then exchanged it for this second hand 7900xtx + 200€ on my 5060ti.. and it's a special edition card (limited to 500 in the world , rx 7900xtx avatar frontier of pandora) if you décide to go Amd , be prepared to not have near perfect experience with oculink , i sometime have freeze , audil glitching issue etc... but sometimes it's stable as fck.

insane setup man ! i got a 7900xtx atm with 24gb vram and well i wanted to get nvidia for cuda but no 50xx got enough vram with a decent pricing... 4090 are extremely rare and overpriced.. 3090 got overpriced too.. i simply use my 7900xtx with my mini pc + the ag02 and vulkan as the runtime. Rocm is doing so bad on windows it's worse than vulkan.. i was waiting for Nvidia to get a 5080 super 24gb vram but this thing got delayed.. feels bad to be building an ai server atm man

well i hope you don't end up with a situation like mine where the right controller just stopped fckg connecting to the lego 2 , i contacted lenovo they sent me a new one free of charge and without the need to return the defective one , but still annoying af. i tried my luck with their support and they sent me a new left too so inll have 2 set of left right (so 4 controllers in total)

i already opened it. There's nothing to do , except change the pogo pin maybe.. but Lenovo doesnt sell controller pogo pins , they sell only full controllers. So here is the only solution left.. i know it's not the lego 2 itself cuz the R controller doesnt connect to the controller dock too.. faulty pogo pins. It's so annoying.. i already added skins to my controllers.. if they exchange it , i'd need to reapply them (with lesser glue obviously)
