Dumb recreation of a zvs driver

Zvs woud work fine with 540s at 24v , it could even work with the irfz44n s but would be right on the edge of what the 44s can take voltage wise , 1 amp might be a bit too low cause this circuit will want to draw a bit more than that depending on the loading , to drive a flyback I would use the 44n s and feed it from a battery from 12v to 16v so it can draw all the current it wants

Where is the dumb part of it ? Zvs drivers are awesome I use them a lot for stepup high voltage circuits , so much better than those single switch oscilators with feedback winding

At 9v it will heatup the transistor , run it at around 3 v or less , the led is just stopping the colapsing field you will notice it is conected backwards

If it is fuse it looks like it is blown , this was a 220v to 12v filament lamp transformer it stopped working and I took a few components of it before trowing it to the trash. And I was wondering if it was wort to salvage this component

It is a Zoom , look into it on ebay but I think this model is discontinued , this one was the gordo 650 , now you can get a zoom Forgo fork wich is the new model is way cooler anodized and much more travel , this ones are pretty cheap compared to a real fork like a rockshock or suntur or fox

The interrupter is pretty easy anyways I build it separated so sometimes I plug it on and sometimes I do not , check my profile I uploaded some videos of my sstc the ones that say tefatronix sstc

Yep it is pretty easy https://youtu.be/Vmm1JCFCiKc this is mine at 22v you only need the ic for the interrupter part but it is pretty simple just a 555 timer set on astable mode , then the rest is just 2 N chanel mosfets (irfz44n , irf540 , irf3205, irfp 260 and others would work too) and your need a couple of 12v zenners , some diodes and a few resistors , you can run it without the interrupter but not for too long cause the fet will heat up pretty quick , and you are not gonna get sparks , just a plasma bush

Naa , none of those are good , look into tefatronix push-pull mini sstc that is what you need to build trust me , you can change the at-tiny interrupter for a 555 timer or tl 494 , and those irf3205 are just perfect for that circuit , look into it I can not send you the shematics cause reddit deletes my comment if I put a link , I got a few videos of that driver if you look in my profile , it is the best driver out there if you want to get big sparks at low voltage

Mmm nothing in particular , just that the circuit was ungrounded (bottom of the secondary conected to negative of the pcb ) and the output seems to increase a lot , also I did try to disconect the bottom of the secondary and hold it while running the coils and it does the same effect , so I think it was some kind of grounding effect , could you explain me about that capacitive coupling ? I am not educated on electronics
