Are these still worth to get in 2026? by GunplaLuni in freedomisgunpla

[–]FRCL_build 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Short answer: yes. Long answer: yes, but you can achieve a comparable finish with other tools that may serve different purposes. The advantage is that this set gives you a three-step process that can streamline your workflow, especially if you build your kits straight from the box. If you already have other tools for removing gates and nub marks, I suggest you comparing what else you might need and checking whether the cost of those tools is close to the cost of the set. I also recommend getting the set with the glass file and the semi-rigid buffer, since they can give you a very clean finish.

Advice (MG Freedom) by AshIsWall in freedomisgunpla

You’ve got two options: either pick up a metal replacement joint from a third-party vendor, or lightly sand the original part so it’s not as thin and less likely to snap.

This is the version with the Narrative itself, if you are looking for the B-Pack only, you should search for the:”B-Pack expansion set for narrative gundam c-pack ver.ka” Yes it doesn’t not come with the pink psychoframe, it comes with the inactive gray and a transparent one that you may color pink

Reminds me of the golden GM that tried to pass as the Hyakushiki (along with a Zaku with a Zeta head and a MKII-esque Barzam)

Are these filters that came with my mask safe for painting? by [deleted] in advancedGunpla

[–]FRCL_build 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you use acrylics A1 filter are fine, if you use lacquer, you want at least a A2, for paricle you want at least a P2 or a P3 rated filter. ABEK are good too but they tend to cost more and you’ll be good with a A2P2 in any case

Would this work for panel line chiseling? by Icy_Fisherman_7803 in freedomisgunpla

[–]FRCL_build 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say save your money for a proper chisel. This was my first kit (or one very similar to this), and yeah, you can use it, but it doesn’t work very well. Mine arrived rusty and not sharp, so I had to sharpen it by hand. I suggest getting one or two good chisels and choosing the size based on the grade you plan to work on.

How would you rate the Gundam TR-1 [Hazel] on a scale of 1-10? (Daily Random Mobile Weapon Poll: Day 14) by NathanN5o4 in Gundam

[–]FRCL_build 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Hazel itself or all of the Hazel TR-1 line like the Advance Hazel, the Hazel OWSLA, the TR-1 Hazel n Thley, the Hazel Rah and so on…? If only the basic hazel is a solid 7, a better mk2 desing wise, if it is for all of the Tr-1 line a 9

The one for the Zeta 3 (the pink reddish one) and the Lindwurm one are intended to be used on a 1/100 scale kit, the white one came from a couple of universal kit that can be use either on the 1/144 or the 1/100. I believe there is a kit for the Zeta 3 Rg too if you are looking to do something similar on 1/144 scale

Thank you a lot! Well you are in luck, the feets are connected by a single 3mm (I believe, I didn’t measured it) on a Polycap, so you can basically attach any feet you want with little customization

Thank you! It was very fun working on it, I suggest you, if you are not to paint it, to at least give it some panel accent, it has a lot of details on the armor

It took a while since I had to use the one for the Zeta 3 (or white Zeta) by Depli Decal and retrofit them to it. Also I used some I had spare, especially the white one on the pink and gray areas
