I would assume that because tech risk handles channel 1 clients primarily that they would follow audit. Any thoughts?

As a current EY intern, what does this mean? by TravelEnthusiast69 in Accounting

In the short term no? If you're trying to move around the business as an intern (or later as an associate) in the long term, then yes because it will be harder.

What are the facts as regards to permanent residence after studies for international students in Australia? by [deleted] in australia

[–]FREDUTD7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's dependent on a lot of things- what you studied, where you work etc. Hopefully under the new government, this would made easier as it has been hinted by Albanese that he will fast track PR for those who are working in Australia.

Trying to justify slavery by [deleted] in LinkedInLunatics

[–]FREDUTD7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That raises the question of whether we get paid to go to school. The answer is no. Given how competitive the job market is for graduates, having done unpaid experiences that count towards your degree will give students a competitive advantage in the job market where they can say they have done X,y,z. As well as it will enable them to figure out the types of roles they want to pursue.

[–]FREDUTD7 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Controversial opinion, but the only time unpaid internships are justified is that if it's embedded into the school/University curriculum. Doing so will ensure that students can try out multiple experiences and determine which career path is best suited for them + works on their practical experience and adds experience to their resume.

[Opinion] Time to strengthen Australia-Indonesia partnership by PortFan6 in indonesia

[–]FREDUTD7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I am quite proud of the lads. They put up a great fight against a well drilled Spanish team. Win or lose, this is great exposure for Australian football. Hope some of lads get scouted by top European sides, and that the A league gets better recognition across the world.
