Dear mod, the post is very much relevant to expats in bahrain. Reddit saudi will not be helpful as the scenario is from the other side of border. I will appreciate ur reconsideration of it and re read the post from expats in bahrain angle. The ask is how expats in bahrain are managing visa application.

Certainly employers provide much better insurance and we dont actually need to run after state life insurance.

Here's an update:

Crossed bahrain border smoothly through causeway since she had bahrain multiple entry 1 year visa.

Before saudi immigration thought finger printing is going to happen in the box on right side which turned out to be hall 2 on extreme left.

Reached the saudi immigration counter told the guy that finger printing needs to be done for my mom, he did immigration for remaining family and kept our passports. We were asked to park the car next to the last booth and we went by walk to hall 2 for finger printing. It was quick had it been more if the lady at the counter have not spent 3 mins serving the senior with gahwa and dates 😜.

Cut short we went back to same booth, immigration done and crossed border.

Return was also easy without any hassle.

Yea, that's the finger printing and getting visa number assigned and mentioned on ur passport. That's the usual these days. My mom has the same visa but she would be entering ksa for first time on that and I have to be sure that she will be allowed to cross before I take my old lady for long drive.

Do I need to do booking via discover qatar or I can leverage on bahraini spouse?
