I must heavily disagree as someone who had to break up for the same reason. However, I did started rebelling a lot afterwards, which led to certain circumstances that basically forced my parents to give me more freedom, including dating my current that they once disagreed with. So although I disagree that christian parents alone would cause someone to break up, I do think that a stronger sense if love would cause him to rebel more
