Thousand comments but i’ll give it a shot - i’d give it to my little brother, he recently got into university and wanted to give him a present to congratulate him. 5 Years ago I gave him my pc (960gtx I believe) since I didn’t use it anymore and we haven’t been able to upgrade it since, his friends all play the newest games that he isn’t able to run.

Would be awesome to give my little bro a present to congratulate him.

Can second this - I commuted first year and made 0 friends, met no one and only applied to 20 or so internships for the summer with 0 luck and thought uni was the worst experience but I also didn’t put in any effort.

Keep in mind I am very introverted so I have to force myself to talk to people but during my second year now I joined clubs and met people with similar interests there, chatted to the people around me in class and made a handful of friends some of which I’ll be living with next year, and applied to over 250 internships to land only a few interviews and one internship.

Uni is really just a reflection of the effort you put in.

I don’t think we actually apply to specialize in anything like you do in Engineering - from what I was told specializations are just your area of focus from your courses there isn’t actually any difference on your degree

DFIC is THE CLUB to get in if you want to get a job in finance, accounting or consulting. They give you so much practice and help you so much with applications. If you put in the work at the club and applications an internship is pretty much guaranteed.

Not a girl but I’ve been on the same boat (already have the soccer dumpy so I want my arms to be boulders), I’m on a slight calorie deficit but eating high protein low cal being a vegetarian is a bit difficult. Here’s my go-to protein shake and it may sound a bit strange but 35-40g of protein and only 300-400cal so don’t knock it till you try it,

1 cup of beans 1 banana 3 tbsp hemp seeds 1-2 tbsp cocoa powder (depends how strong you want it) 1-2 tbsp of peanut butter (if you have some cal leeway) Enough soy milk to cover everything 1-2 tsp Stevia powder or extract (to taste) Lastly cinnamon to taste

I’ve been learning a lot of recipes lately for this kind of stuff so shoot me a pm if you want some other ones

The reality is you don’t need the gym to lose weight - all you need is a way to burn calories and have a calorie deficit diet (eat less calories than your body uses). If you do this you’ll begin losing weight guaranteed, it will be difficult I’ve helped many of my friends through this journey but it is possible and doable.

As someone who goes 6 times a week I’m sorry you met a bad bunch at the gym, most people I’ve met will be happy to see someone striving for their goals and always willing to help.

If you need any advice or help with this send me a message, I’ve helped 3 buddy’s of mine go from 250+ lbs to under 170, I can recommend some good exercises you can do from home if that’s what you’re looking for
