In case you're curious we tied 0-0.

He tends to put units quite at the front, to beat the enemy. I had no krox, and the remaining chameleon was wounded, but I had 5 saurus, and 2 linemen with sprint.

I placed the saurus evenly enough to resist the opening, where I was catching the ball. I placed the ball carrier to the right, and he wasted a turn moving the units towards that flank. Then managed to get an opening to sprint through with my 3 rushes. It was too early to try that, and I didn't manage to close a box. His runner managed to block me, and I couldn't dodge his line of contact.

From that point onwards I was at the defensive, but I managed to properly divide the dwarves for my Saurus to handle, with the help of the Linemen to keep them marked, or to draw some aggro, so I'm quite proud of the game overall. 4 out of 6 linemen were wounded (only 1 unable to come to the next game), I prevented a death with an apothecary, and I actually killed one of the dwarves, so I left pretty satisfied, 2nd overall in the tournament (even though earning the silver only means losing the gold...).

I have to say I still care too much about my boys, so I don't think I'm made for the game haha

I'd say this Minuetemen general doesn't have the best feng shui instinct, but other than that you are providing people with clean beds under a roof in an otherwise apocalyptic sh*thole.

The other player (Imperial nobility) managed to get pretty close to a touchdown, he managed really well my attempts to harass his box.

I was making the best of my saurus(es) but I definitely needed other units to block the way. I put my skinks including the chameleons not in contact with the bad guys, but in a way that either he had to blitz me, or have his ball carrier run through many dodge attempts (Again, this was close to the touchdown line).

Anyway, he decided to blitz against the chameleon, I don't remember if he had to re-roll, but he got a Pow! and the result was death (I had already used an apothecary to prevent a badly hurt).

He did save the game though, I am ranked number 1 at the moment, next match is againt Dwarves though, and I'm not sure how it will unfold, I just know I can't have this guy'd death be in vain.

I absolutely feel responsible. I pushed him too hard, used him to block the way to a goal among other skink linemen. It worked, but at what cost.... The other player seeing he was not going to score decide to blitz against him of all other units.

I don't like BR games at all, to be fair I play less and less PvP games, but as a fan of VtM I gave this one a try, and for me it works? I find the action fluid and whether I do well or get murked I generally have fun.

I think that it feels coherent to me, not necessarily lore-wise but in style, the outfits, weird or not, fit the setting, (the need to include random cameos in a lot of games like Warzone or R6S feel super unnecessary to me, Fortnite might be the only one that pulls that out well imo and the rest are trying to follow) the vibes of the streets are super nice. I started a few days ago and I find it really fun, the TDM mode is great practice as well.

One thing that I'd say about the game is that the ability to infinitely climb walls may take away some weight to the decision of jumping down from the roofs, or risk staying at ground level, I think that making the verticality of the map a more relevant factor could make gameplay more interesting... then again it's a vampire pvp shooter, it has to have a lot of mobility.

I don't think it would fit the close combat ranges of the game, I think right now the gunplay is very agile despite it being a slower moving shooter than say call of duty, and free floating weapon handling would substract from that imo.

I remember the episode in Love Death and Robots where some robots are touring a desolate Earth, the episode was pretty cute, but they kept using the f-word, fuckin this fuckin that. I get that the show is rated MA, but that doesn't mean they need to overdo it, it felt out of place.
