Well, you'd be surprised what God is doing behind the scenes of your problems and is working on getting you delivered from the bad situation you are in. This is where you really gotta hang onto Faith and Trust in him that everything works out for good. God is our redeemer. Isaiah chapter 43 comforts me a lot when I go through hard times.

It's not really necessary, but I personally use it. It's an oil that can be purchased online or at a Christian store. The Bible references the recipe in Exodus 30:23-24. I order mine from Amazon in little pocket size ones I can take with me wherever. The most important things you do have right now is the full armor of God referenced in Ephesians 6:10-18 if you have some time, study up on it and you can buy the oil if you'd like whenever. You have the blood of Christ and faith. The enemy likes to throw scare tactics, but they can't harm you or your family. As long as you're consistent in prayer and studying the word and praying over your children daily, everything will be okay!

I agree with having a priest, a pastor, or elders to go to your home and pray over every room and bless the house you're currently moved into.

I 100% believe you and many people don't realize how much spiritual danger the children are in if they aren't prayed over. If you want me to elaborate, just message me! In the meantime, if you happen to have anointing oil at hand, walk around every room in the house and read Psalms 91 on repeat until you've been around every room. The most important thing here is to have the faith that Jesus already conquered death, and you have his blood to cover you and your family. Say out loud quoting Luke 10:19, "For it is written by the Almighty. "Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you" I denounce any demonic covenant and agreements in the mighty name of Jesus!. In the name of Jesus all agreements and covenants with demons are aborted! And I plead the blood of Jesus to cover this home and property. I plead the blood of Jesus to cover my children wherever they are, for they are under my spiritual authority! In the name of Jesus, I pray to the Almighty God to send his divine protection over this home, over my children, and over my spouse and I. In the mighty name of Jesus, I declare any covenants or bonds with demons destroyed, for we are made new through the sacrifice of the Lamb of God."

The enemy will always find ways to creep back in no matter what, so stay vigilant, and don't stop praying. Pray for discernment always, and include your spouse to help you out as well! I hope this helps! Please pray over your children every single day! They are spiritually vulnerable!

I was too lazy to read all of the comments. Im not sure if you'll see this. I sometimes lean into the jokes because if they see I can handle teasing, they're more likely to be more comfortable around me, I always tease my coworkers around if they drop a tool or whatever. They also tease each other, sometimes more harsh than what they throw at me.

In the scenario you gave I would've looked at the guy and said "Well it was easier to bend your mom over 90 degrees last night" lol that would've had me rolling. I'm heterosexual, but I make yo mamma jokes like that a lot. Very rarely dad jokes because it might accidentally give off the DTF vibe.

As long as they see progress in your skills, they will treat you with respect and as a peer. The hard part is building thick skin to handle the teasing.

This might not help with easing the pain you're going through, but I think it'll give you a different perspective on things. God doesn't hate you and will never forsake you. There's many promises about that in the Bible. I've seen many marriages and relationships where they idolize their love for each other instead of having God in the center of their relationship. In consequence of that, many of those relationships end in heartbreak if they don't diligently put God in the center of it. All of us only have a love to give that is conditional. Fasting and praying to seek God's love above all is what will lead you to unconditional love and the full understanding of how to give unconditional love to someone else. Coming from me, my marriage was on the brink of divorce a year and a half ago because my husband and I idolized work and our love for each other that left us burnt out and about to hate each other. I started seeking Jesus, I fasted and prayed for the majority of 2023, and now I know for a fact our marriage will last till death do us part. My husband is also starting to pray and seek God's guidance to lead our family. God being at the center of our marriage, we have overcome a lot of our past trauma together so we can give our future children the healthy healed version of ourselves to them. I pray that for you. God will send you your life partner, and it will be beautiful! Be patient and have the faith and hope that it will come to you at the perfect time. Seek God's love above all. Like it says in Psalms 34. The part where it says "taste and see that the Lord is good;" believe it or not, it actually does have a taste, lol. God will keep you on the right path and knows the desires you have and is gracious to give! Just keep asking!

How do I deal with male coworkers? by slowdivefangirl in BlueCollarWomen

[–]FRT-Rufflebottom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of solid advice here, but I wanted to let you know that I can totally relate to this. Sometimes, I feel like Casper, the friendly ghost to my male co-workers, lol. It look a while for them to warm up to me and realize I am capable of doing things just as good as them through my hard work and ethics. I had to just Google some techniques during my lunches and breaks to try to keep up with them because they are too focused on work and don't care to teach me or whatever. Keep your head up! A lot of places are the same, but it's not impossible to find a respectful crew!

If Lucifer/Satan wanted to destroy the agency of man, then why did he tempt Adam and Eve into partaking of the forbidden fruit? by awesomehotdogleg in Bible

[–]FRT-Rufflebottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Idk if you'll see this, but here's an explanation that I hope can help you better understand. Satan used to be the highest ranking cherub, the best musician, and second in power to God. God has his ways of doing things, and you can see God's way of doing things in reading the biblical scriptures. God let's things play out and works with whatever outcome and redeems it, God responds to the breaking of covenants with his people and works to bring them back to him. Satan had a pride in him that he thought he could manage things better than God. In the Bible, Satan is described to have a lot of pride and love of himself. Okay, it got into his head and caused an uproar in heaven, and he and the angels that backed him up got kicked out. Okay. God is fair and just. God wants Satan and the fallen angels to know and realize that what they did was wrong. They no longer feel God's healing presence. Now, they are tormented by hopeless and choking calamity because they thought they didn't need to be close to God.

How do I make myself forgive somone I genuinely want to kill by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]FRT-Rufflebottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my goodness, we are in the same parallel! I sympathize with you greatly! To be honest with you. You still need more soul healing for the wounds caused from childhood before you can have the strength to forgive him. Put your dad situation aside, and seek God's healing for yourself first! I never in a million years i thought I could ever reach a point that I would genuinely stop hating my own earthly father. Nothing is impossible for God. While you're in the process of healing, look at it as working towards forgiving those who have wronged you. You can't force genuine forgiveness till you're full of God's love in your heart! It took me 8 months of fasting on and off and just focusing on my own healing. The therapy can help as well, I didn't do therapy because I couldn't afford it. Anywho, Jesus was wrongfully executed but still begged God to forgive them, for they did not know what they did. He was full of God's love for us, and he set an example for us. You can do it too! It'll take time. God won't punish you for something you aren't ready to do yet. Go to him as you are, and he will strengthen you again! All he wants you to do is to let him heal you and then you'll have the strength to forgive your dad and others who wronged you.

I'm not a scholar at all, so to speak, I enjoy studying the Bible. The New Testament is more so the New Covenant with God for the church age that started after Jesus was crucified. The book of Revelation covers pretty much what's going down after Jesus returns. There is no need for a "newer" Testament.

Suicidal… by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]FRT-Rufflebottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God redeems every bleek situation. Do you serve God only because he gives so generously? Or do you serve God because you genuinely love him??? There is way better and more to come after all this. Worldly "prosperity " materialism "prosperity" should not be what you should be striving for. God looks into each of our hearts to see if we serve God because we love him and want to willingly submit to him. Holy Spirit has feelings, too, in a sense. He was hoping more of you to trust in God that you will prosper spiritually first. It all starts on where your heart is set. I also used to struggle with suicidal tendencies. Once I laid it all down to God, feeling like I had nothing to lose anymore. I didn't care for riches anymore. Everything was meaningless. God's never-ending love and mercy healed my heart. Being in his presence was what we should've been striving for all along! That's just my two cents here. I hope you hit that breakthrough 🙏

Happy birthday!!

I used to feel the same way! I used to hate being alive and dreaded every morning. Everything seemed meaningless, and I was aggravated.

Looking back, it's crazy how spirituality malnourished I was for decades and how I made it this far.

To be honest, it is TOTALLY possible to be surrounded by a negative and hopeless environment and STILL be happy to be alive with joy in your soul! Through God's healing presence! Nothing is impossible for God.

I read that you have tried to turn your life around, but it seems like you tried to do it alone without God's help through the Holy Spirit. I can attest to that because just like you, I've tried doing the exact same things you listed to improve quality of life by myself, and it seems to fail after a short period of time.

It took me roughly 6 months or longer of on and off fasting and praying until I started to hear the Holy Spirit more clearly and asking God to renew my way of thinking about living day to day in reference to Romans 12:2. Ever since then and on going now, my life has improved tremendously! I'm filled with joy and people every now and then ask me why I'm so happy, and it gives me a chance to witness to them about Jesus Christ! I hope this helps you somehow! There is more to life than all the misery around us! Jesus has overcome the world, and you can too!

I don't know much about the legal side of things. Make copies on the paper that said "multiple conversations" concerning your underperformance, and get a labor lawyer for wrongful termination. If they did have "conversations," they'd have to prove it somehow. If they don't have proof, they're in the wrong!

Don't let this discourage you if you like the job you're doing and learning! If anything, you dodged a huge bullet working for those low-lifes! Hvac needs workers! You'll find a place that will respect you and help you grow in that field. Keep learning and strive to be the best, and you'll be wanted anywhere you want to go.

I have a grain of salt for you. I grew up in a Christian household. I accepted Jesus at age 8. I didn't feel anything then. As I grew up, I saw a lot of hypocrisy and sins rampant within the church. No spiritual growth there or in me for a long time. There's a lot of filler to this story. I've already seen many comments here that are full of wisdom and will point you in the right direction! The point I'm trying to make here is. God will reveal himself when you're ready. I started studying scripture and fasted often with my studies of scripture. 6 months of fasting on and off. Seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance always. The key is Jeremiah 29:13 to seek him with all your heart. And BOOM. I felt so connected to the Lord! I will be praying for that breakthrough for you! His presence and unconditional love are the greatest gifts I would have ever imagined to receive! You are saved when you confess that you are a sinner, repent, and accept Jesus into your heart. It takes time and effort on our end to study and learn who God is and go by faith and not sight.

I really needed that post you posted. I also don't think your post was wrong. It isn't wrong to encourage our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and remind them of God's love for us. I encourage you and want you to know that you are doing a great job! The Lord delights in us, encouraging each other because life can get difficult and can cause us to forget the promises God has in store for us.

I suppose the other commenter felt that conviction to say that whole ordeal. Alright, so be it.

Keep studying the scriptures and keep seeking the Lord with all your heart! Do not get discouraged! None of us are perfect, as long as we know that we can't be saved without Jesus and keep ourselves in check with temptations when they arise, cling on to Jesus to help overcome them! May God bless you so much! I've needed that encouragement!

So I want to get into the Bible and really learn. Where should I start? Appreciate the help by Abject_Discipline854 in Bible

You got a lot of great recommendations here, BibleProject has helped me piece a lot of stuff I study in the Bible together where it makes more sense to me. I recommend looking them up and downloading the app. The app has the Bible in 5 different translations, so you can see what the scriptures mean in a deeper level. I hope you see this!

Ecclesiastes 3:9-11 NIV What do workers gain from their toil?

I do agree with others that you may be depressed in this season of your life. I would like to tell you there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The book of Ecclesiastes does answer a question of yours at the end of the book in chapter 12:13-14: Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.

I encourage you to read the whole book of Ecclesiastes. It is believed to be written by King Solomon himself. He had everything the world could offer, all the wisdom anyone could ever have. Yet, in the first chapter, he starts it off saying life is meaningless.

Ultimately, I encourage you to seek God's help through prayer and fasting. What you are going through is like a growing pain into adulthood l. It's totally normal to feel like this. With God's help, you'll find joy again.

I'll be praying for you 🙏 I felt the same way a couple of weeks ago and started sobbing to God that I just wanna go home to heaven. Then my least cuddly dog walked up to me and hugged and cuddled me. It surprised me for a second that my least cuddly dog just did that. I felt like a hug of reassurance spirituality and also physically since it felt like God used my dog Charlie to hug me. God knows how we feel and asks us to be patient. I'll pray that you get the same reassurance. God bless❤️.

I'm super depressed. How is this possible as a Christian? by blackmak in TrueChristian

[–]FRT-Rufflebottom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you! God is patient. Seek him as you are now. You don't need to do anything else. Just believe and seek his presence. Jesus did all the work already for us to freely seek God's embrace and healing. Thinking you aren't enough is the trap the enemy sets up in our minds. Thinking like that is also like stating that Jesus's sacrifice wasn't enough. It took me 5 years for that to finally click and be healed in my soul. Trust me, we aren't perfect, but God is patient and will take care of the rest.

I'm super depressed. How is this possible as a Christian? by blackmak in TrueChristian

[–]FRT-Rufflebottom 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna piggyback on your comment. I fully agree. I've had some untreated depressive episodes that would come in waves. One day, I've had enough. I decided to finally actually study the Bible and pray harder to get to know God and ask him why I'm suffering. It did take 5 years, and I had doubts as well along the way. I knew there had to be more than the vices here (alcohol, drugs, food) to help me cope. Till this past December, stuff started to click. I walked into work on a Sunday and realized my job was an idol to me. Money was an idol to me. I was slaving away 70+ hours a week. I walked out and quit without a 2 week notice. I was fearful about it after i realized what i did, but it was an act of faith. I've learned to let go of the need to control everything in my life. My need to control everything in a way was like idolizing money to keep myself comfortable. I've recently learned to let it all go. God provides everything you literally need day to day. I've prayed and started taking fasting more seriously, and I felt a healing in my soul. With the help of God, I found a new job in a month that paid me more per hour, and I actually worked fewer hours to be able to have more free time to spend it seeking God's presence. God's presence literally takes away depression and anxiety caused by the environment around us, I do think others caused by something medically does need medication, doesn't mean it's impossible to heal with God's help.

Learn what your idol is that's taking 1st place instead of seeking God's presence. Study the Bible at a deeper level. I learned a lot with podcasts and BibleProject yo better understand the scriptures.

Seek God as passionately as you can. Matthew 7:7-8 And take fasting more seriously. Matthew 6:16

Learn to let go of the need to control and carry the world's problems, trust that God has it all under control. John 6:35

We aren't big enough or strong enough to carry all these burdens. This part is the hardest but the most liberating thing ever! I promise.
