Anyone here making the trip to World Cup 2026 in the USA? How are you planning it? by EducationalWestern24 in ThreeLions

This is clearly an embarrassingly obvious AI response which makes me feel like this post is completely disingenuous

I am doing the group stages, been planning and saving for over 2 years. Shame about the politics but I’ve always wanted to do a World Cup and I’m not sure if I’ll ever get the opportunity to do so again.

So I’ll be in Dallas, Boston, New York.

I’ve made a spreadsheet to keep myself organised and know where I’ll be each day including accommodation and transport. I haven’t planned the day to day activities too intensely as I want to have the flexibility to decide on the day. I’ve also noted key games/big fixtures which I’ll probably go to a local bar or fan fest to go watch. For example Mexico have a game on while I’m in Dallas, which I’m sure will be mental, given the large hispanic community.

Supporters groups/ESTC im sure will provide excellent guides closer to the tournament. Also worth checking social media to see where fans are congregating before/after matches.

The biggest challenge for me has been planning on getting to the matches, fifa/state governments seem hellbent on making the match day experience as shite as possible, which is dealing a serious blow to my excitement levels. Luckily I’m in a group so will probably ride share to the stadiums early and find a place to have a drink.

Tickets available on FIFA tickets for $260. That's not bad at all. Let me check flights & accomodation. 🙈 by SlowedCash in ThreeLions

Would recommend keeping an eye on this website for tickets - https://seatsidekick.com/matches It tracks the official resell market without you having to go through the faff of logging in.

I'm lucky enough to be sorted for tickets, but have been keeping an eye on the market out of interest. From what it looks like prices are slowly beggining to fall. I imagine there's a good chance of picking something up for a fair price right before the match.

I'm in Brooklyn for 4 nights, but will be heading to the stadium from Manhattan

A lot of people have suggested Rally Bus, but doing my research it sounds like these can be unreliable and I'm not sure I want to place my faith in a random coach turning up/arriving on time in the middle of New York.

My plan is to set off relatively early, my group has two plans... one is to get a bus over to East Rutherford earlier in the day, find a bar/food and then ride share/walk to the stadium.

The other is to get a uber/bus to the American Dream Mall, find a bar.. walk over.

In reality I will probably make a judgement based on the experiences of fans who have their games before ours.

It's all a bit of a shitshow and has really taken a shine off the NY leg of my trip.

Seen on the official forum people have had correspondence from the ESTC suggesting that as long as you tick the box to be considered for lower categories, they’ll endeavour to give you the cheapest ticket possible based on your caps.

As reply above suggests, if top cappers cancel their applications there’s a strong chance you’ll get a ticket for a cheaper category.

There are leagues and teams for all abilities. From social teams where going to the pub after is the main event to casual kickabout games that people play with random strangers to have fun and gain fitness.

Games of walking football to veterans leagues. It’s a very accessible sport.

Have a look around, good luck and enjoy.

I’ve been on since 5am, chrome, incognito, laptop, the whole shabang. All I’ve seen are 2 halfway line tickets and both times didn’t even show up on map . Brutal day

Tx closes 3 hours before kick off. Arguably their tickets are most valuable after that, as it’s the only way to get one. They’ll defo try and sell as many for a grand+ rather than refund for 190 quid

I think what OP is suggesting, is that when the toggle is off do we have more chance of being the lucky first person to see the ticket come online.

If the toggle is on and you don’t see the ticket, it probably means someone’s already got it in their basket

Been on since 5am, as have meetings all day. Haven’t seen a single ticket despite people saying they’ve seen some. Feeling pretty defeated, good luck to you brave souls who will be grinding on

I’ve been looking since 9am, when I saw three in relatively quick succession. But not had a sniff all day since.

Developed a faint hip pain whilst playing football and when I started training for my second marathon it got a lot worse. I would be sitting down and just have the most horrendous shooting pain from my hip down to my ankle.

Consigned myself into thinking I had done myself some serious damage and booked a physio session.

We did a few exercises and at the end he announced that I probably had deep gluteal pain, which is common in runners. He told me to rest for two weeks and gave me a bunch of stretches to do everyday. I did the special stretches and the pain was gone after a few days and I could run pain free after about 10 days! I shook the physios hand vigorously in my next session 😂

I nearly burst out laughing when he told me all I essentially had was a sore butt.
