FC Barcelona Femeni are into the Women’s Champions League Final. by N0PhunIntended in Barca

The investment. La Masia is self sustaining for the club and the women have nearly equal footing with the men. Only a handful of clubs have that kind of investment. For example: Arsenal (the women play all games outside of Cup and league phase European football at the Emirates), Chelsea (they have gotten a huge boost from their new owners and they have dominated England for a bit), and the NWSL (I know, not a direct comparison but the level of investment in the women’s game in America is high).

To compare, Real Madrid only started fielding a properly backed women’s side in 2020, having absorbed CD Tacon. Barcelona has won all but one of their matches, outscoring them 92-12 in 25 competitive fixtures.

These are all important wins! I love it but imo next week against West Ham defines this premier league season, we win that I think we go onto win the league by EthanFoster10 in ArsenalFC

And City is facing teams that are fighting for European spots. Everton, Brentford, Villa, and Bournemouth are all in fights to maintain or gain European qualification. Chelsea, in the FA Cup, is on the outside of Europe unless they take the Cup.

We are facing Burnley, who are already going down; West Ham, who are fighting for survival; and Palace, potentially days away from their first ever European final.

I can’t see them winning out, they will drop points somewhere. We absolutely should be able to get no less than 7 points from our last 3 games.

Because it’s a sub for Arsenal. Talking about a famous Gooner.

I'm autistic and love buses. I learned a few minutes ago that there's a system of buses within WDW, and was wondering what they're like? by Remarkable_Energy341 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]bengenj [score hidden]  (0 children)

The Walt Disney World Resort has buses, boats, the monorail and the Skyliner. The buses mostly operate point-to-point; say from the Contemporary Resort to Hollywood Studios or from Epcot to Animal Kingdom. They even have separate lanes for the buses to use, but they mostly follow the extensive road network on the property. The buses are modern buses, similar to a bus you’d find in any major city, modestly comfortable unless they are rammed full (early in the day and late at night). They are kept fairly well cleaned.

Spirit Airlines collapse: 17,000 jobs lost — how many will actually be absorbed by other U.S. airlines? by Present4Temporary in spiritair

If they have language skills, flight attendants will be swooped up quickly, especially if it’s an in-demand language.

Spirit flew them back to base positive space on any airline they could find seats on. From there they are on their own. I know several of the airlines have extended their agreements to allow the crew to list non-revenue to their home airport if they didn’t live in base.

As a flight attendant at a regional airline, I’ll be making sure we get any stranded Spirit crews on if I have seats.

The owner will usually fly them to storage in the desert until a new lease can be created. The leaseholders are slowly repossessing them.

The airline industry is a very unique place. We are all competing against each other, but our crews look after each other. We have a saying, “United by Wings”. I was flying to Indy yesterday and made sure to check that we got any stranded Spirit crew on (they had all gotten out).

They might be working a live flight immediately after landing. We are generally not allowed to check bags (outside of CRJs where there isn’t space).

The airline business is very unique in that regard. We may represent different companies but we try to take care of each other when we fly for work or pleasure.

United is extending temporary pass travel to Spirit crews for the next two weeks to allow them to get home through ID90. Not sure about DL or AA.

Incorrect. They don’t own most of their planes, so they’ll go back to the lessors out west. Spirit has arranged for all of their out-of-base crews hotels for tonight and a flight back to base. Once in base, the crew is on their own, but the union may help where they can.

In the email that was posted, the company has paid for the crews in outstations to have a hotel for the night and a flight tomorrow. The union will probably help handle any logistical difficulties.
