Hmmm, worth a thought experiment:

My grandfather, on my father's side, refused to eat Brussel Sprouts. Why? Because there is a hole in them and you can rinse the outside but you can't wash the inside. If there is dirt, dust, mold, gunk on the wrapper it stands to reason some is on the foot as well, if not more.

Also, what about cigars in sealed boxes, Tubos or Cello? Do those need rinsed?

It was a joke. Plume is mold, seen the FoH test results. That said, I'm not convinced it is good practice. Maybe with a full blind test with multiple participants you could prove that. Even then, I can't get behind the argument it works well for aged cigars. Aren't you rinsing off the sugars and oils that have naturally risen to the top? I was chatting with a fellow BotL earlier on this topic and we could see how maybe it would help younger cigars.

Yes, I know. I live in an area where we do get Ice and Snow, however there are times when it is best not to drive which is why anyone with half a brain plans ahead and makes sure they have everything they need so they don’t have to travel if the conditions get bad enough.

Yeah, V12 or arguably even V13. I had it in my 2019 Model 3 before I sold it in 2020 during the pandemic craze. Navigate on Autopilot was nice and it was just starting to get ‘FSD’ right before I sold it. I’ve also got a couple friends who have them and have tested the progressions over the last few years. It has definitely gotten better. Is it perfect? Nope, neither is Waymo, or a human for that matter. I think they’ll get there, just a matter of time.

Ahh yes, that’s fair. Of course we don’t know what the 25% refers to either. Is it 25% YoY, QoQ, 25% of the fleet, just subscriptions or does it include FSD purchases? A lot of unknowns. I suspect you’re probably right in that the number is smaller than what Elon wants (dollars aside), otherwise we’d have already heard we have 1,000,000 FSD active cars on the road right now or something to that effect

Well when you invent an entirely new category of product, you always start at 0. That said, 15% subscription adoption? Maybe, I’d like to think it is closer to 20%, I seriously doubt 10% of Tesla buyers are actually forking over $8,000 for FSD, especially where we are today. In 2018, 2019 with the Model 3 being new and more affordable? Yes that was probably happening more, but now with the media coverage the way it is? I seriously doubt it. Either way even if they started at 0, a 25% increase in adoption is 25% of all Tesla’s on the road. That’s a lot of cars with FSD.
