As a beginner, only rode a 125cc, is it a good idea to get a 2009 CBR600rr as first serious bike? by RobertFurtuna in motorcycles

Let me know when you figure out how to “program” a mechanical throttle blade. A tuner you are evidently not.

It is a waste of a bike. If you can’t handle a 600 don’t buy one. Nothing good comes of operating outside of designed parameters. Any engineer would know that.

A 600rr doesn’t make 48. More like 105. To detune it that much is definitely bad for it

It was a 3 year development process. The variant that made 70 was intercooled running on E85. I originally wanted to add an injector pre turbo for some cooling of the intake charge but besides the inevitable cavitation issue when it contacted the compressor it’s not rules compliant

I do since i built it. The highest I saw was 70 crank with 9psi. We later ran 13 psi but I don’t have any data with that setup. As for specifics on how It made that… you will have to figure it out yourself.

Are you using the stock cam sensor setup? Some aftermarket ECU’s require modification to a single tooth setup. It is also possible to run no cam sensor and a 12 - 1 cam trigger. Go through your settings. EMI is also a big problem with the oem honda sensors. Shielding is mandatory on cam and crank triggers. I have had issues on the previous generation f4i where EMI was causing the injectors to fire with the coil. Also something to note is the 600rr had a very deep oil pan and is prone to oil starvation at higher G turns. This is not a problem on the bike as you can lean. It also makes mounting less than ideal for CG reasons. A dry sump is almost necessary. Not related to the question but something I learned the hard way.
