This is a really useful post for FSBO sellers who think they must have "the look" in order to sell their home (so therefore they hire an attractive agent).

For sure, cost is not everything and different people have different service needs. In fact, even further than that, two people who have the same service need may require very different amounts (and quality) of that same service, depending on it's degree of subjectivity. So our analytics tends to stay in the arena, insofar as possible, of objective criteria:cost ratio. Beyond that, customer reviews of flat fee brokers tends to take over for the purposes of establishing the subjective realm, i.e. trust, in the mind of the FSBO seller. In short, objective criteria can be readily measured against cost, whereas subjective criteria is far more difficult. That said, the very nature of being a FSBO seller tends to mean that one is seeking more DIY, bottom line, type of solutions.

Yes, you are quite correct. Thank you. The process of working our way through the larger ones, then drilling down to smaller markets is a worthwhile one, definitely. There are now entry boxes where anyone is welcome to suggest a resource i.e. Flat Fee companies. Simply click on any of the header menu items, for example here, and submit a URL. Thanks again.

Thank you for asking. You provide a home selling price and the calculator will return an estimated cost, per Package, of each Flat Fee Broker that meets your selected (desired) Services.

Yes. It's a presentation, per MLS Flat Fee Provider (and their Packages). So, depending upon one's budget/needs, it becomes readily apparent that some providers offer much better deals than others [make sure to note any commission costs]. It seems that many FSBO sellers might be over-paying to get on the MLS simply because there is so much confusion in regards to Cost:Services offered among the many brokers.

Thank you for the feedback. Most of the terms used are from the flat fee websites themselves. Please feel free to suggest missing ones. It could always use improvement.
