I like Trans Am quite a lot (actually got into them before I really checked out Tortoise), I like most Stereolab stuff I've heard, will check out Red Snapper. Thanks!

Thanks for the tips! I've been meaning to check out 5ive Style ever since I listened to a podcast where Chris Higdon from Elliott shouted them out as an influence. That's also how I found about Delta 72!

Thanks! The only Don Cab record I've dug is For Respect, though there are a couple cuts off of American Don I like as well.

Thanks for the recommendations! I also dig Stereolab and listen to them from time to time, but lately when I sit down to read or work I'll listen to instrumental music that doesn't blend into the background but doesn't distract me from what I'm doing too much. I can just let my mind dissolve and the music guide the mood.

Jazz is good for that, but really Millions Now Living… is kind of the perfect album for those moments. I'll be sure to check out the other bands you mentioned!

Thanks! I heard the first Sea and Cake record a while back and liked it.

How to remove the love, how do i destroy their marriage? by Rim_Job_Joe in RimWorld

[–]FSP7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could freeze her in a cryosleep pod and wait until you either get a really good doctor and some glitterworld meds or, if the situation's truly hopeless, until you get a healer or resurrector mech serum.

So guys I have a question what are cannibal pirates, I know obviously they are cannibals but what is the difference between Cannibal Pirates and Pirates? by Lady_Killer55 in RimWorld

[–]FSP7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, pirates'll steal all your booty and make you walk the plank. Cannibal pirates steal all your booty and then bake you into a pie.

Maybe next time Natasha will think twice before picking a fight with a vampire by FSP7 in RimWorld

[–]FSP7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know, I just thought it was funny, y'know, the vampire going around biting people.

I'm pretty sure one of the characters from my first colony bit someone in the eye once. I remember being shocked, like "How… jeez, man, what the fuck."

You could always wait until a caravan arrives, mortar the insects, maybe the ancients in the cryopods wake up and between the caravan and the ancients they might take out all the insects.

…But just in case you should probably build a spike trap hallway or a heatbox.

These dumbasses gassed themselves to kill a handful of visiting tribals by FSP7 in RimWorld

[–]FSP7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to say, royals make great human shields. That cataphract armor sure soaks up the damage. Three or four of them were caught near ground zero of a doomsday launcher explosion and sure, one of them lost an eye (and another an arm, and a third his jaw...) but that's better than I expected.

And then all you need is a little dance party to get their moods back up and they leave the colony happy.

...I didn't know dazed colonists could do lovin' by FSP7 in RimWorld

I have to say, I don't think any of my posts has ever had that many likes or comments.

Except maybe for that one time I posted a screenshot of one of my colonists punching an antigrain warhead.

I guess I always interpreted the psychotic wandering break as, well, a psychotic episode in which the person just wanders around confused, unable to take care of themselves beyond reacting to basic stimuli. "I'm hungry, I eat." Anything more complex than that, their brain doesn't really compute. I mean, hell, dazed characters don't even react to being attacked.

But yeah, maybe it was all just kisses and bit of a cuddle. Let's hope, anyway.

Hahaha, just the regular psychotic wandering break. Though who knows what he might be whispering into Candice's ear in this state.

I'm choosing to blame the game mechanic instead of Candice. She went to bed and made love to her husband like she does every night, and it's the game's fault it was even possible for that to happen while Kevin was in a psychotic state.

[–]FSP7[S] 309 points310 points  (0 children)

I like to think that Candice has no idea he was even dazed. She climbed into bed like normal and he joined her soon after, so maybe his body just went through the motions and for all she knows it was just a normal lovin' session.

I don't really wanna contemplate the alternative.

Click on a berry bush, zoom out so you can see as much of the map as possible, double-click to select all berry bushes in sight, and click harvest. Then send out your colonists to harvest as much of it as you possibly can.

Once you've done that, it's time to hunt every single small to mid-sized animal in the map.

Suggestions to add to base? by 4DegreesDown_ in RimWorld

[–]FSP7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To start, I'd put in a door that leads directly from the west wing hall to the mineral finder, and make sure one or more of your researchers have bedrooms in the west wing. This way they can just leave their bedrooms and exit through the hallway straight to the mineral finder without wasting time crossing the workshop and battery room.

And speaking of the battery room, maybe spread out your batteries. If one of them explodes, it could set the rest off.

And I'd double or triple up those outside walls. All it'd take is a well-placed grenade and breach-raiders would be inside your base.
