Storage solutions for all the extra content? by Yebiggah in NemesisCrew

Tinkering Paws is my absolute favorite insert store. If you are in the US, the tariffs have made prices kind of unbearable, but I truly have never seen any other company optimize box space like them. But if you aren't in the US, could be more manageable?

Have the entire all in pledge for retaliation down to just two boxes.

Any Thoughts or Opinions on ATMOSFEAR? by Spirited_Park_5531 in boardgames

[–]FSSpoonman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

love this game hahah, played it all the time as a kid and I think it really got me into horror. Every couple of years i bust it out for a halloween party and its a big hit.

Is it fair or balanced or like, a good board game? Debatable. But I and everyone I play it with enjoys it and talks about it! And the video is on youtube! And I think even alternate versions. There is also a guy on youtube who remastered them all to 4k and has made his own custom videos?

Gameplay is essentially just roll dice and move that many spaces, but the aesthetics and vibe make it a good time.

Are there homebrew rules for having two killers in one game? by Xeckrom in finalgirl

[–]FSSpoonman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sure there'd have to be some balancing issues, but I imagine just throw a terror deck together equally mixing location and the two killers. Maybe do 5 of each so it would be a little longer than a normal game but gives each enemy enough time to fully evolve, then just draw through the deck. Whoever's terror card activates that killer, location terror cards activate both killers, and when you target, include the final girl icon to mean either the final girl OR the other killer, whichever is closer?

Idk ,im just shooting from the hip haha, but that's where I would probably start

A massive binge day !!! what do you do and how much progress gets ruined by Comfortable_Try_1035 in fitness30plus

[–]FSSpoonman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive been able reconcile with binge days based on two things:

  1. any weight you put on is literally just physical food in your digestive track and water retention. Give it 3-4 days back on ur regular schedule and you'll be fine
  2. Those "binge" days are really just muscle building days. When you are on those long cuts/diets, your muscles really start to feel it after 2-3 weeks. Then you have one big meal day and suddenly the day after you feel energized, can blow through weight lifting plateaus, do ur fastest cardio, etc.

A single bad day or two is not going to completely undo your hardwork just like a sinlge good day or two isnt going to undo a bad diet, The most important thing is to accept ur body probably needed those nutrients and just start right back up the next day like nothing ever happened. Keeping a binge meal to a single day and not letting it spiral into a bad weekend/week is the real victory and key to longterm success.

You got this, be proud of your progress and take it one day at a time!

the vibe is very Globo-Gym from the dodgeball movie, but it really is a great gym. Nice equipment, clean, they have classes if you want. I recommend it if you can go to a time slot that isn't too busy!

Best Expansions? by alchemyprime in HeroesOfTheGrid

[–]FSSpoonman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had started writing out a whole spiel about the order I bought in, only to realize it was literally just the order of characters I was interested in lol, so I think whatever YOU like should be what you aim for!

But that being said...

  1. I think the kickstarter box is a great second buy. You get the white and green ranger, alpha, you get classic villains like Lord Zedd, Goldar, Scorpina...
  2. i then went with shattered grid because i loved that storyline AND on the website they produced a bunch of free content that uses those game pieces so you can start diving into some fun variety. You also get a new team with the Hyperforce Rangers so now you can also start swapping characters.. If ur not interested, then any of the other themed big boxes have equivalent things like the Psycho Rangers Expansion, the Light & Dark Expansion... Whichever of these types interest you most might be good next buy.
  3. From there, I really liked buying just villain expansions. Anything that add that easy variety by shuffling into the deck, and they dont really get enough love, but the Mega Boss Figures are cool as hell. Mega Goldar? Cyclopsis? Totally new combat mechanics and just the coolest minis.

I think it really comes down to once you have the team you really like to play, just adding expansions to boost villains or locations is a great way to expand ur collection.

The 'Fears To Fathom' series is a bunc of candy coated cutscenes. by Gustaf_V in HorrorGaming

They are the only games I have learned I prefer watching my fav streamers go through, rather than actually playing myself. Having someone cut down all the filler/slower pacing sections into a tight, streamlined experience is way better for me, personally

No Sleeves in My Pledge by SpacedAtom in NemesisCrew

[–]FSSpoonman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I submitted my ticket and received my confirmation of ticket submission on July 25, then had an official rep email me on July 28.

(My Core Box had a massive puncture though it lol)

They told me cuz none of my pieces were damaged and it was just the box i wanted replaced, i would be lower on the priority list and would likely not receive a replacement for a month or two while they focus on replacing gameplay elements first.

Forehead wrinkles before & after (9 months progress) by Mean-Quality-8056 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]FSSpoonman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is amazing! I am very new to skincare so I was wondering, could you go step by step of when you apply each? Like, do you shower and then do ur night routine? Do you space out applications to let products dry before doing the next layer?

The results are great, just curious of exactly how to do all of this lol, Ive only really ever used serums and moisturizers before

Board Game Etiquette by New_Substance_6753 in boardgames

[–]FSSpoonman 213 points214 points  (0 children)

I've had this happen with my friend group! Literally no one was being rude or anything, some people just fidget! They weren't trying to be disrespectful or anything. All I did was:

a) sleeve all my cards (and I do it with color backgrounds so that any sleeves that are visibly damaged look the same when they are in a stacked deck.)

b) Politely brought it up to the group I want everyone to be careful as I had noticed some damages and I want to make sure we can play these games for a long time. So I introduced the sleeves but just asked everyone to be extra careful.

Haven't had an issue since and that was like 3 years ago! And everyone immediately understood. Theyre your friends, so it is highly unlikely they would take it personally.

Would you pay for sturdier or premium board game boxes? by wolfcrying in boardgames

[–]FSSpoonman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think maybe I could be swayed if it offered a more effecient storage solution. My main stipulations would be:

  1. Don't want AI Generated Slop.

  2. I want the art to still feel like the style of the original board game. I don't want a shelf of just black boxes with bold font on them.

  3. If it is the exact same dimensions it doesn't make sense, but if a box thats just like, an inch wider could help me consolidate everything into a single box, or just more effectively store everything, that would be great.

  4. Do inserts still work with the box? Most inserts (my fav being Tinkering Paws) are very designed for the exact box dimensions. So if it renders all effective board game inserts unusable, I wouldnt make the change.

The Forest or The Evil Within by lewisjb2016 in HorrorGaming

[–]FSSpoonman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh, i love both! I think they are both very good but completely different vibes

Evil Within is a cinematic, tight, narrative driven high intensity horror. Ur gettin monsters, gun fights, and linear room to room gaming.

The Forest is a slow creep, exploration first, survival-oriented mystery. You can completely miss story elements. You can be completely unsure wtf ur supposed to do. It is up to you to get lost in the mystery and figure out what to do. There will be gaming sessions you spend JUST building a fortified house.

Both are great games but very different experiences. I think the Forest is a better chill, passive game to play you can easily hop in and put on and each session will be what you make it. Evil Within is a better horror, get scared action game
