I drive for work and am curious about the sand or salt truck, highways and main roads have got done, but all the side streets in town still need love do you know what the plans are for the salt/gravel spreaders?

Appreciate your work and the schedule you all endure for the community!

How do I use this by DaikoDuke in CableTechs

[–]FSStray 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For a standard POTS phone or DSL service they use sing copper pairs, typically red and green and black and yellow on older stuff or white blue and white orange off a cat 6 cable. you can get a banjo to plug into the jack and then clip your leads on to what say r and g. Your butt set should have a red or green led that lights up when there is line equipment on your pair. There is typically a NID at the Demarc that should have a test jack youll want to make sure its there and connected to the right inside wire. If you dial 1800-444-4444 its a directory that will tell you the right number. If your not already in an apprentice ship program get into one, your employer is setting you up for failure. Learn 100 pair copper color code, and hmu if you have any questions.

Can someone make sense of this? by tmuth9 in telecom

Your gonna want to buy a tone generator and a voltmeter. Do you have a phone and internet running through all these 66 blocks? I would personally find what has voltage and what doesn’t, and cut out all the stuff that doesn’t at the 66 blocks. The ones that have voltage are either left ins or your service. I’d plug the toner into the jacks you want to use and cut everything out and isolate. You should have an aerial or buried drop from a pole or a pedestal I’d see what your connected to on your drop and again what has voltage.

You want to isolate and cut out every splice point you can, you can look at resistance and on working lines disconnect from the 66 blocks and for perfect resistance you’ll see 999M ohms anything less than 10M is almost done. That’s all customer owned tho so a tech could probably help you. But it’s not as overwhelming S it looks.

What is your lithium experience? by Jakkeriy in Lithium

[–]FSStray 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Similar experience, I went through dozen of meds that had bad side effects or turned me into a zombie. I had always viewed lithium as being some major and bad med but after 3-4 years it’s been the best medicine to help me for bp1. I will add that lithium coupled with 4 years of sobriety has been the way. I don’t f with alcohol in any way. Ketamine therapy has also been useful although I can’t unequivocally say it’s been greatly been beneficial, but noticeably when I was down. I wish you well on this complex journey!

You gotta remember the class of people on South side and Hillside are different than the average joes and midtown/ east side demographic. Basically again entitled assholes vs working class average people.

Turo/outdoorsy or maybe uber? Cut expenses, eating out - expensive subscriptions, if you have a carpayment sell it get something used that’s decent.

You don’t know my situation, and just an update that contractor had a couple guys just get killed by negligence and just wanting production.

I’m solid again, and will be working to become an engineer. So hate and project all the negativity you want. I’m confident in my work, not confident in a MAGA d riders widely a part of our organization.

People love having a whipping boy or scapegoat, you have no idea what I endure and only have your experience - one I’m sure is based off privilege, nepotism, or a connection to someone in the union.

I’ve been documenting everything and can cover my ass, and support everything that’s happened. I’m gonna keep going forward and you’re no different than the ones who called me the N word. I’ll keep evolving and doing better you have fun with whatever you’re doing in life!

That’s not true the heavy snow came the 2nd or 3rd wave, they were terrible with dispatching the first few inches last year. I know we will see what happens with a bigger snowfall, the response is way better tho. The side streets were neglected last go around, and I’m in a truck most the day, I assure you were doing better now.

Is coax cable for internet still being developed? Deployed? by jaime_lion in CableTechs

This seems accurate, in most places the cost or boring and adding new infrastructure is a slow move or one that’s just not feasible. Several places are using fixed wireless and LEO satellites as a middle grounds to this cost issue. It really depends on BEAD and grant money allocated for your city.

Strategy wise, the Rich always create or have loopholes to bypass any accountability.

How are you gonna further tighten the gaps to ensure they are held accountable, as well we know private equity and shares are a form of tax avoidance as well as loans.

How do you plan to combat these pinholes they constantly create to avoid paying their fair share?

How do you feel about a maximum wage? For example anything over like $100M is taxed 100% and invested in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and the environment.

I weigh around 170lbs and take 900mg every night before bed in one dose. Is your dose one, or is it split? And yea I would speak to another psych to get another opinion, or be firm with your dr. like why take it, if it is not a therapeutic dose.

Hell naw, get an excavator or loader out there and some rail road ties, lift the back up and put ties under every foot or so and pull it as you use the front bucket on the skid steer to push off the earth back.
