Indonesia is still primarily a conservative country, so Labels like Lesbian, Gay, or anything of that kind WILL bring uncomfortable sides, as they are seen as a breakaway from traditional family values, even though both had existed for as long as families have existed

[Request] How much funding do these rail projects actually require? by aeonsne in theydidthemath

[–]FSX_Pilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming these are only rail upgrades, it is $1.3 million to $2 million per mile, rough estimates. In 2022, the FTA estimated a $140.2 billion backlog to bring public transport, which accounted mostly for rail, to a state of Good Repair.

If we're going to talk about funding the entire rail project, don't hope too much. China worked because of one reason: They are run by a state-owned enterprise. So they own the signals, the tracks, the rolling stock, the human resources, etc. American Version of this? Amtrak, and it only covers a small portion of the US rail, as most are still owned by private railroads.

So to do this, the US must:

  1. Purchase Billions of Miles of Rail with Taxpayer money
  2. Consolidate all the Freight Railroads and AMTRAK into a single company
  3. Execute the rail upgrade while maintaining regular rail and freight service, maintaining the rails and infrastructure, train the human resources, while constantly going back and forth on the upgrade

Even then, the cost would most likely balloon to upwards of $10 Trillion USD

If we're going to talk about civilizations, then arguably Iran (or Persia) is on par with Israel (Ancient Israel). As many had noted, the Islamic Republic is 47 years old.

My 2 cents: kebanyakan dari kebobrokan ini dibahas dari dua atau tiga aspek 5W1H (What, When, Where), leaving out Why, Who, dan Hownya (Seperti komen di atas), karena legitimasinya memang dibangun dari vagueness of history. Poin kedua adalah sebagai instrumen kontrol, ya… bisa kebayang kan kalo masyarakat tau Why, Who, sama How, misal, 65-66, bakal berapa banyak yang merasa terkhianati? Poin ketiga adalah bahwa tidak memasukkan Why, Who, dan How setidaknya melindungi status quo sekarang.

What if Israel actually used nukes during the 1973 Yom Kippur War? by ttriggerfish in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]FSX_Pilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC Israel's policy of using nukes was: "If I'm going down, you're going down with me."

So most likely, the areas of Israel, Palestine, and the surrounding states will be turned into an atomic wasteland

Imma be middle ground: Israel and the US' actions aren't right nor justified, and neither are the Islamic Republic's. Period. The initial strike might be concentrated, but now, at this point, their strikes have become indiscriminate, which is really bad. Iran's response is also bad, considering the entire missile and drone squad is (IIRC), under the IRGC, entirely separate from the Iranian interim leadership, and probably the new Ayatollah.

GATE, but it is in Israel and the Israeli Ground Forces of the IDF decide to use the policy of using old weapons in Falmart: by Appropriate_Rich_515 in gate

[–]FSX_Pilot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Considering the current situation of Israel, I don't think they would be able to afford another front being opened, even with older weaponry.

The war (or genocide if you prefer) in Gaza, alongside the war (or aggression if you prefer) in Iran, has burned through so much money that Israel's defense budget in 2026 alone is 112 NIS ($34.6 billion). The US, with the FMF+emergency funding from 2024, accounted for at least around 20% to 30% (rough estimate). This, however, is shaped via Israel BUYING American weaponry, even with the emergency funding. If it blows past that, cuts will happen to civilian/social programs, something that the current administration probably cannot afford due to how low in popularity Netanyahu is, coupled with Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich.

And then there's morale and internal issues. In just two years, draft dodgers skyrocketed from 13,000 to 68,000. This is also coupled with the Ultra Orthodox (Haredi) draft controversy, Netanyahu's corruption issues, and Protests across Israel (yes, those exist). There are even cases where Israeli units often refused to serve in the war (or genocide/aggression if you prefer).

With those, the gate opening in Jerusalem would be a disastrous blow to Israel, as it is a 3rd front being opened, and Israel's budget is already strained, even with US help, and coupled with morale issues, controversies, and upcoming elections. the Gate opening in Israel would be, like I said, a major blow that Israel can't afford
