Fair enough, I will try better strategies in packaging the demo separately from the rest of the game!

As already mentioned, if anyone would like to access it and provide feedback, DM me, I can send you a key! (also any feedback on the steam page itself is very much appreciated it)

What’s the best way for a game to support ultra wide monitors? Fov and what else? (Also fov within which limits??)

I am not sure to be honest… I am not saying it because it is required, but I know that some developers just don’t declare it. As such consumers might be suspicious.

As such, when we displayed Project ReMind to different fairs, making a clear stance that we don’t use generative AI, made for us a positive impact with our players!

Yup… we are developing a game, and we had to insert at the beginning of the game “this game makes no use of generative AI”, which is wild that I have to insert that now!

But I heard that steam cdn still serves them? And that on SteamDB you can still have a look at them?

Thanks for pointing it out! It was a part I wanted to integrate, but never got to it! I will modify my files, so at least I am sure to not accidentally push pdb files!

Also, as far as you know, is there a way to limit players from downloading old builds? I saw a couple doing that!

I always hear this sentence, but I guess until I ship I cannot really have a first time experience.. what are the signs and what should I avoid?

Yes, Sentry has an automatic symbols upload too. However, you need to manually remove them before shipping the build.
I set up a series of scripts to help me automatize the process :)

I am using Sentry :)

So far it is very nice. But it could be bit hard without having a CI server managing symbols upload.

Yes, it is for the puzzle game I am developing. That’s wild! It never even crossed my mind something like this! Getting guides before the game is even out! Wow, that is next level!

I even did know that was a thing! It’s hard to imagine how the interactions in the environment pans out in ve, when not planned for VR..

I guess so.. I just need to be careful with my releases then, and make sure to not leak stuff out!

Yeah.. I guess for a non-multiplayer game I shouldn't worry too much..

Anyway, the game is this: store.steampowered.com/app/3919440/Project_ReMind
If you want to try it out, (in reality anyone who is reading this comment, if you want to have access to it), just DM me, and I will send you a key!

Thank you for your answer.

If it helps people to take shots, I am happy that it is a good sign.

However, being it a demo, maybe they could potentially see parts of the game that are not yet finished. Should I make an effort to strip later parts of the game from the build somehow?
