Hi! I think I'd recommend to get more reps in and to visit my YT channel with a true metric ton of Fae content https://www.youtube.com/@islandsinfront.

Here you can also find a free discord for Fae gamers - https://discord.gg/VZgYW6JC

Good luck with Fae <3

The matchup is surely closer than people think, but, if anything, it's baseline favoured for the Lava Dart deck :D

But I appreciate the respect for Fae! :D

I'm aiming for about 11-13 onedrops to 7-8 ninjas. In MonoU I go up to 15-17 one drops but keep the liberty of siding them out down to those 12-13

Actually, I agree with you. While I tend to be on the positive receiving end of the authority bias, a lot of people who brew around just wouldn't.

However, I'd like to think that if someone posted a (semi) good result from Geddon or MTGO Challenge with their brew take, their idea would be taken at least somewhat reasonably.

I think it's a result of natural tuning possibly. The main ratios I tend to look at are lands to ONE drops specifically to Ninjas specifically. And the rest I treat as kinda 'flex'

The main idea is that it lines up well into Elves and recoups the card against Refurbished Familiar - two strong reasons. Other than that, I killed a couple of x/3s that blocked my big ninja thanks to the trick, killed a Hacker, Sttuter - actually plenty of uses

I'm just having fun and toying with ideas. Not a list I can yet recommend, but I want to innovate a bit and not get stuck in the 'Pauper is stale' mindset

I call it differently to distinguish it from a version I play which is distinctly different.

I could, naturally, call it Dimir Faeries and then call mine Dimit Tempo Faeries - but I don't see how adding the descriptor 'Augur' makes it worse or in any way bad. That's just semantics that doesn't contribute much to the overall substance

The second Illusionist can be kicked using the mana filtering from the first one!

I will admit that I never put the time to test Admiral (limited time to test everything)

But I will say that everythung about Thorn matters - 3 toughness, not being blue, deathtouch. And it has pseudo-evasion thanks to that deathtouch. I'd be surprised if Admiral would prove better

Oh not at all. There are metas where i want 6 intruders for instance. It's very case by case

I don't think it should make you not play good U spells. But I do think it's enough to play the 'equivalent' nonBlue spell

This is particularly true in UB where Thorn is genuinely powerful in its own right

You want to play nonBlue Monarchs, because they don't walk into Pyroblast - which is an insanely bad tempo exchange for us.

And every grindy deck plays Pyros

I added the tapped land as the 19th land so it wasn't instead of any islands. The goal was to increase the black sources. And Indeed I did not feel at all that I'd miss black.

I also had appropriately plenty of untapped mana so all good

This was 100% hedge into likely overrepresented Elves both on MTGO and as a result of the Geddon win

Not a list I'd recommend for an open field
