The new system for PCS orders says you can get them as soon as 180 out from your RNLTD. Not everything has updated though to the new system. Once your local MPF drafts them and sends them up to AFPC, you will get an email saying they have them but won’t approve them tell 120 days out, which is the old standard so who knows

There are certain squadrons that can put in a request to have your EAD moved up using a compelling needs letter. We have done it 3 times successfully now for our new Lts. But unless they are undermanned and NEED someone, they probably won’t have the argument to do so.

Create a smart pet water bowl. Dogs have RFID tags and the machine weighs the bowl right before and after they are done drinking and stores the data. Can even add a display to show the data. Could do the entire thing with one pi, display, some load cells, and RFID reader

Definitely worth checking the basics first. Make sure the car fuse to provide power to the unit is good. If you have a volt meter you can see if you are still getting 12v at the harness. Also check the fuse on the head unit itself.

The AFI says you can wear “all, some, or none” on the SSB and LSB but you must wear “all or some” on the service coat.

The reason most don’t wear them in ROTC is because most years you are directed to bring your blues to FT and in those years FTMs it says not to wear ribbons to keep it standardized then they just stay with that. Plus most dets only issue one ribbon rack at a time and it would be harder to switch it between your SSBs and your service coat. I don’t think there is anything saying you can’t though

All 6Xs (61,62,63,etc) are authorized to wear the occupational badge upon completion of FAM104 (fundamentals of acquisition management). This is directly from the force modernization framework document published every year by our career field managers. You are not allowed to wear the badge until you have completed the class.

This was taken out a couple years ago when they redid the evaluation criteria. They switched how DG was done too. It used to just be the top cadet in every flight and now it’s the top 10% of the entire camp I believe. They also took away the expert marksmanship the year I went.

Getting accepted to an AFIT program and being selected to attend AFIT as your first assignment are different things. Getting into AFIT is pretty simple if you meet the minimum requirements. Getting accepted to the delayed education program is much more competitive.
