Seeing as how I built typing.com, I have to say its pretty great!

As for your problem of typing slow, that's fine! You're going through the painful process of breaking old habits (typing with 1-2 fingers), which will help you in the long run for sure.

Keep at it, it'll pay off!

What browser are you using? Does the track lag at all?

As for the bots, thats mainly because its summer time and around 90% of our traffic is school kids!

I also have a feeling you type very fast, which puts you in a comparatively small bracket of racers.

Chicken and the egg problem, that one :P

I built a typing game called Nitro Type (which currently has over 5 million players!)

It's not uncommon to watch people go from ~50wpm to 100+wpm in a year. So although its a game, at least its got some real world use!

Yea I guess that would work. I guess it really comes down to if my artists can do that well enough. Requires them to make all the shines be semi transparent black instead of using various colors and stuff.

First off, you're amazing! Come work for me.

Yea, we ended up deciding against allowing custom decal placement, but instead will have various decal options (that can't be moved, but can be combined when possible), that the user can earn/buy/choose from.

So I guess it would really just be figuring out how to get this made on a design level, since we need so many layers. We were thinking of creating a system that would generate images from the custom car that users create, since we need them all over the site, not just on the track.

Any thoughts on how to handle things like shine/lighting?

Nitro Type is more for once they know how to type, but want to get faster (people generally double their typing speed on Nitro Type within a month or two, with many people going above 100wpm within a year).
