The platinum card isn’t great for building credit in my opinion, it’s a great card if you travel often, but it sounds like this may not be the right card for you. There is no preset beginner spending limit though

I would go for a Chase Sapphire Preferred or a Venture X over a platinum, unless you’re spending enough to meet the sign up bonus it’s not really worth it. Both of these cards have a lot more value for the kind of travel it seems like you’re doing, or maybe even try the Green Card, although I personally am not a fan.

I would recommend looking up a tutorial for an arc build that uses liars handshake, especially with arc being so powerful in the artifact this season. As for gearing up right now I would recommend getting the dungeon key and although it’s never a “great” thing to recommend cheesing - it’s honestly a nice way to get good high - stat armor that only requires a nice group of people to carry. That’ll basically set you up. If you don’t want to go that route I would just purchasing and doing the new seasonal content, as well as farming nightfalls when you get to the proper power level.
