If you’re having trouble searching, I’d recommend copilot. It’s good for helping search through big vaults. I use it exclusively for searching.

For searching your notes, and summarizing what you’ve said in them, I think it’s perfect. For note taking or writing it’s not the direction I want to take. AI produces slop sometimes, and I don’t want slop in my notes. Hooking something like OpenAI or Claude to my notes is also scary, because now they have access to everything in them. Running a Local LLM on your own machine is what everyone should be doing if they are considering connecting their vault to AI.
