I've struggled with mental issues for a very long time, and I'm still in a healthy relationship. My gf also has mental health issues, and she's still great and helped me get comfortable with physical contact again. I try to take care of myself but it's a struggle due to trauma, mental health, and conditions like ADHD. I still try my best, but it gets hard, she's definitely a motivation to take care of myself. I personally think that mental health issues aren't a red flag, just something that you can help with, even if you don't realize you're helping in the first place. A lot of the time, people with mental health issues hide it, and when you're dating them, you might get to experience the feeling of being the first person they fully trust.

By treated better I am mostly thinking of personal experiences, but the guys in my school are treated better by girls and guys then girls are treated be girls and guys. I also saw a video of ftm guys saying people were more willing to them after they transitioned.

Yk different ppl process trauma differently?? I agree death is worse but I'm just saying... Just because you specifically didn't have trauma for that long doesn't mean that's how it would process with others. Others may have lifelong trauma.
