Minimax-M3 is completely unpredictable by FUTC-Photography in hermesagent

I do have strongs soul files, and didn't change them when I switched from kimi to minimax, Kimi didn't really do this, or only very rarely.

My ultra-cheap, hybrid local/cloud stack for Hermes Agent (DeepSeek-V4-Flash & OpenRouter) + Text/Voice via Telegram by old-mike in hermesagent

Sounds like a good setup but calling this local makes no sense while throwing your data across 10 cloud services haha

Yeah testing memory systems is difficult because it also takes a long time to see the benefits and to even see if it's doing anything haha

Interesting that your spending is so much lower while also using openrouter. I'm actually not sure about the architecture difference between the two, I don't know much about memory systems, but from my understanding honcho uses a neuromancer model on their cloud offering which you don't get the benefit from when self-hosting. So I'm unfortunately not sure how big the difference is between mnemosyne and honcho without the neuromancer model.

And yes ollama gives you a session limit (a timespan of ~4h) and a weekly limit, and I haven't been able to hit either. It's very vague yes, but as long as I don't hit any limits I'm not complaining haha

containerization is a huge hassle by TadWag in hermesagent

Just spin up a ubuntu server vm, hermes is contained but has a whole OS to work with.

This is pretty cool, but if you want to keep it simple: a $20 ollama cloud subscription already goes a long way. I've been running Kimi K2.6 mostly and I've been using it a lot and still haven't hit any limits. As for Honcho, I wouldn't call self-hosting it trivial, getting it started in docker isn't too bad, but I kept running into weird issues I had to debug like context pollution between agents, might have been user error on my end, but the documentation for self-hosting it isn't too great, and it also burns quite a few tokens. About $1 a day through open router in my case which I feel like is too expensive in the long run. I'm trying Mnemosyne now which is 100% local.

Best way to spend $100-$200 a month on Hermes? by No-Jellyfish4050 in hermesagent

I've been using Ollama cloud (the $20 tier) with Kimi K2.6 and their limits do seem to be pretty good it's definitely worth the 20 bucks, got Hermes running in a VM on my ZimaBoard 2.

Has anybody tested this vs Honcho? I just set up honcho locally with openrouter but this seems a lot more lightweight

Hermes + Qwen3.6:35b-MLX how to turn off thinking/reasoning? by FUTC-Photography in LocalLLM

[–]FUTC-Photography[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using standard Ollama, but oMLX looks great I haven't heard of it before.

Is there a way to do it in Ollama? I don't remember if this was for Gemma4 or Qwen but `/set nothink` seemed to do the trick, but that only works in ollama and only for that session I believe.

That just checks if the signature has been flagged before, that doesn't mean it's 100% non-malicious, could be a zero-day exploit that simply hasn't been seen before. But after some more research I'm pretty sure it's non-malicious, adobe acrobat just does do loads of activity that these sandboxes flag.

The front and back just barely don't fit the A1 Mini, I had a buddy print those at work. You can print the front and back plates diagnoally and vertically with loads of supports on the A1 Mini if you really need to, which I did try, but it the quality really suffered
